Founded in 1923, Bally Ribbon Mills once made things like hatbands and lingerie straps.
Since 1991, Bally’s engineering team has increased their efforts to meet the growing demand in the composites industry with woven preforms and 2-D and 3-D structural fabrics.
In 2015, the company's work led NASA Administrator Charles Bolden to say this during a visit to the company's headquarters: "From this day on, the path to Mars goes through Bally, Pennsylvania."
