These outreach services include addressing the need for smoking cessation, obesity interventions and sharing information to clients about prenatal care, health insurance to cover this care and services for family planning. * Meets with and makes presentations to individuals, organizations and community groups to explain, publicize and promote the program. * Represents the program at health fairs, community events, classes, seminars and other gatherings. Assists with displays. Assembles and distributes literature, brochures, pamphlets related to program information and breastfeeding promotion and support. * Promotes and supports breastfeeding among postpartum women by making telephone calls. Develops and maintains resource lists. Answers telephone inquiries regarding the program and breastfeeding support to the participants of the program. Assists clients making application to the program. * Collects, tabulates, updates and maintains program records and statistics related to breastfeeding by program participants. Assembles periodic statistical reports. Examples of Other Duties May transport clients. Performs other related duties as required.
