The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for the maintenance and distribution of patient medical records following the Policy and Procedures set up by Baltimore Medical System. This includes:
* Corresponds daily with all Spanish Speaking patients who call the Medical Records & Referrals office.
* Translates patient information from Spanish to English
* Filing/scanning and retrieving patient medical records in a timely manner
* Checking patient chart for accuracy and completeness
* Purging inactive medical records
* Keeping updated on new laws that pertain to medical records, and maintaining accuracy in the medical record.
* Maintain correspondence in Medical Records in accordance with established laws/guidelines.
Schedule/Hours:
Mon-Fri; 8:00-4:30 PM
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 1 year of experience in a medical office
* Must pass test for word usage, office procedures, medical terminology.
* Must have skills necessary for filing.
* Must posses basic computer skills including data entry and the use of printers.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under stressful conditions.
* Knowledge of and practice of safe lifting and back techniques.

The Certified MedicalAssistant (MA) is responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, performing appropriate procedures, and preparing rooms and equipment. The MA is also responsible for maintaining records and interacting in a professional, friendly manner with patients and family members, physicians, staff, and visitors. The MA serves as a lead for process improvement teams. The MA may be required to fill some Center Service Representative responsibilities and may be cross-trained to cover other positions when needed. Work requires collaborative communication with others as it pertains to the patient's continuum of care and clinical operations. Courtesy, respect, friendliness, and tact are required in dealing with customers.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
Certificate of completion from an accredited medicalassistant program or a higher level of medical education (i.e., accredited LPN program, RN program.)
Required Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
* Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
* Current MedicalAssistant Certification
* We accept MA Certifications from RMA administered by American Medical Technologies (AMT), CMA administered by American Association of MedicationAssistants (AAMA), CMA administered by National Healthcare Association (NHA), and NCMS administered by National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Required Experience:
