You will:

Research technologies and engineer complete solutions to problems
Propose and implement performance optimizations and scaling strategies
Work with the rest of the team to integrate your projects into the application
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our systems and processes
Integrate AI into your daily tasks using IDEs (or plugins) such as GitHub Copilot and Windsurf. Leverage ChatGPT to streamline your workload by brainstorming and refining ideas, and planning projects.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

What You Need to Get the Job Done
7+ years of experience in web development
Service Development in a language like PHP, Python, Java, or C#, and a desire to work in PHP 8
Object-Oriented development
MySQL - both SQL query language and database structure/design
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Proficient in integrating AI capabilities into SaaS products, with expertise in prompt engineering to achieve outcomes such as sentiment analysis, summarization, trend identification, and content generation.

As a Software Developer Intern (undergraduate), you will contribute to the current and next generation of our award-winning app on either our Backend or Frontend teams! You'll be working alongside our incredible engineers, making changes to our live site within a few weeks of your internship (that's right, we release wicked fast!). You'll be paired with a skilled mentor who will help you develop your skills and make the most of your internship experience. If you get a kick out of solving problems and building beautiful, world-class software, then you will love BambooHR.
On the Backend, we design database schemas, create API endpoints, integrate with multiple systems, tame business logic, and product designs into an orderly collection of classes, build tools that help customers, systems administrators, and other engineers. We use PHP, MySQL, C#, SqlServer, and many other technologies in our stack.
On the Frontend, we work closely with UX designers, product managers, and our backend softwareengineers to create a highly polished and interactive frontend in React for our enterprise-level web application. Our stack consists of Webpack, Babel, React, and an abstraction of Material UI within our design system.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $171,600 to $392,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $205,900 to $445,700. The AI Finance Senior Manager is a crucial role responsible for supporting the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the overall data management strategy for finance applications.
