In 1985, Rainbolt's banks in seven communities were brought under the ownership of United Community Corporation.
BancFirst was founded on April 1, 1989 and has been serving the financial needs of their customers for over 33 years.
On April 1, 1989, BancFirst was formed and established their corporate headquarters in downtown Oklahoma City.
In 1993, through an initial public offering, BancFirst began trading on the NASDAQ under stock symbol BANF. They have continued to grow through acquisitions.
On January 24, 2014, BancFirst acquired the failed Bank of Union ("BOU") in El Reno, Oklahoma after the FDIC appointed them as receiver.
