1910

Business leaders in a small town rich in German-American heritage, Jasper, Indiana, organized and opened a bank in 1910.

The Bank continued business in the building until it was destroyed in the October 6, 1911 flood.

1963

The hotel was razed and construction of the new bank began in April 1963.

1964

The new bank opened for business on July 13, 1964.

1982

By 1982, however, management was ready to step up its expansion efforts, announcing the formation of the Old National Bancorp holding company.

1983

In 1983 an extensive remodeling project doubled the size of the Bank to its current size.

1985

By the end of the year, Old National Bancorp was incorporated, and in 1985, when Indiana began permitting such corporations to go beyond the state's borders, Old National began acquiring other banks in nearby Kentucky and Illinois.

1994

ONB steadily expanded its asset base, and in 1994 it was ranked among the Forbes 500 in terms of total assets, which were reported at $4.15 billion.

1995

In 1995, ONB was ranked number one in earnings momentum by banking journal Financial World.
