SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees in the Finance Department of the Controllers Division and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with at least 2 years of related accounting experience: or equivalent combination of education and experienceA CPA designation is preferred, but not required Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles Experienced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and OutlookLanguage Skills:Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English language Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical Skills:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:No certification, licensure or registrations are required to successfully perform this job however a CPA designation is preferred Computer Skills:Ability to learn or knowledge of, Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AccessAbility to learn or knowledge of Outlook email program.
