I started my career as a commissioned bank examiner with the FDIC and was appointed to develop the first offsite analysis unit for FDIC's San Francisco Regional Officer. After 10 years with the FDIC, I worked as the resident advisor for the central banks of Poland, Moldova and Ukraine as part of the post-Soviet bank reform project. In 2002, I was recruited to GE Capital to lead the regulatory risk function for GE's $500 billion international bank holding company. In 2008, I joined Invesco as Chief Compliance Officer for the alternative asset division and was responsible for building the compliance and risk functions at WL Ross & Co., Invesco Private Capital, Invesco Senior Secured Management and Atlantic Trust Private Wealth Management. In 2013, I was recruited by the board of directors of the FHLB Dallas to serve as the bank's Chief Risk Officer. I was tasked with establishing a true enterprise risk management function, addressing numerous regulatory issues and staffing the credit, market, operational and model risk management departments.
