The paralegal will assist Attorneys representing Debtors, Creditors, and Creditor Committees in large chapter 11 restructuring cases in a team environment. Essential Duties , Responsibilities and Requirements
- Must be able to handle all facets of bankruptcy cases including client contact and attorney support.
- Assist in analyzing due diligence materials regarding all aspects of a company's business operations.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of petitions, resolutions, first day pleadings, drafts.
- Cite check, research and update precedent in first and second-day pleadings filed; must be familiar with local rules of various courts; coordinate with other professionals and clients to obtain and analyze due diligence materials in preparation of exhibits and documents to be included as part of the filing material.
- Correspond with clients, creditors and other interested parties regarding case issues.
- Collate information and exhibits for motions, applications, notices, memoranda, proofs of claim.
- Preparation of quarterly fee applications.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly fee statements; maintain professional fee spreadsheets.
- Review and edit documents and exhibits, charts and diagrams.
- Maintain case calendars and working group lists.
- Work closely with other practice groups and offices on matters related to restructuring cases.

Summary:
The Bankruptcy Paralegal assists the Bankruptcy department with all compliance, regulatory, administrative and litigation matters.
Responsibilities:

Perform legal research using Pacer, the internet and other law-related databases as
required on bankruptcy, foreclosure, federal and state laws/regulations, and any other
matters as requested. -
Manage all Wisconsin 128 accounts to include, but not limited to, cooperation with
the trustee to fulfill any obligations required of Resurgent. - Review and advise on all requests related to Plan Objections, Adversarial Actions, Motions for Relief and/or Claim Objections.

achieving objectives. - Assist any department in Secured Bankruptcy as set forth by management.

Act as a liaison for Corporate Legal and Compliance. Assist them in understanding
accounts with legal issues (that reside on either ILS/DMS or SLS/BKS). - Track litigation for upcoming response dates so that deadlines are met.

Assist in drafting discovery responses while working closely with local counsel and/or

Position Summary
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures provides legal/general support to the firm's attorneys and their clients.
