Position Summary
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing (Operations) Engineering team, supporting production operations at our new Brooklyn Park, MN facility. This position will be fully on-site.
You will be a strong contributing member in our collaborative environment while also finding a good amount of autonomy to drive improvements. In this role you will be responsible for optimizing the output of ongoing manufacturing operations as well as supporting new product launches and transfers.
This position reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

What You'll Be Doing
Participate with post-product launch teams to address production manufacturability, cost, and yield issues
Provide line support daily (or as needed) to assigned lines for yield improvement, trouble shooting, and other activities to meet organizational objectives.
Create labor estimates, time standards, assembly drawings, routings, and procedural documentation
Research and identify new production technologies to support cost and quality initiatives
Evaluate opportunities to improve various manufacturing processes by using knowledge of product fabrication, assembly, design, materials, tooling, and feedback from equipment vendors and operators
Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE), Gage R&R, and equipment and process qualification for system control and optimization
Coordinate maintenance and repair operations for manufacturing equipment
Work with cross-functional teams to implement manufacturing processes improvements
Recommend, lead and participate on projects to meet Hoshin goals and business needs.
Coordinate new production line startups within the facility and support transfers of existing production cells to other facilities
Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow of manual processes, and propose/implement solutions to increase safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
Utilize Lean Manufacturing, DFM, and DFA techniques to improve work processes and ensure sustainable results
Perform quality and efficiency gap root-cause analysis

BS degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or similar

Position Summary

What You'll Be Doing
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and sources of variation using lean and industrial engineering tools.
Collect and analyze operational data to support decision-making.
Work on cross-functional projects involving engineering, quality, and production.
Support creation of visual factory elements (layouts, graphs, process maps).
Supporting the fixture design/development and assembly process.
Creating assembly procedures and routings.
Supporting design experiments for both NPD and process improvement activities.
Design and acquire prototype parts for internal evaluation.
Evaluate designs through physical and virtual product testing including performing stress, thermal, and tolerance analyses.
Supporting preproduction engineering builds and the manufacturing release process.
Assisting with product performance testing and data collection for engineering change orders.

Position Summary
The Test Engineer plays a key role in supporting the Manufacturing Engineers at our Brooklyn Park facility. This position will work within a multidisciplinary team to maintain, improve, and design test solutions working independently with direction from manager. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to understand electronics and mechanical design, as well as programming concepts and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for production of electronic assemblies. This includes test systems, fixtures, and interface hardware.
Create detailed electrical schematics and drawings in collaboration with a test technician.
Develop and maintain automated test programs using languages such as TestStand, LabVIEW, or C#/C++.
Define test requirements, test plans, and test procedures based on product specifications.
Integrate instruments such as DMMs, power supplies, optical power meters, and communication interfaces (Ethernet, RS232).
Integrate motion control devices such as electric linear actuators, pneumatic actuators, and vision systems.
Perform design reviews and collaborate with design teams to improve testability and manufacturability.
Analyze test data to drive root-cause investigations, yield improvements, and corrective actions.
Support manufacturing by troubleshooting test stations, resolving equipment issues, and optimizing test throughput.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality processes.
Document test system designs, results, maintenance procedures, and calibration requirements.
Provide work direction to Technicians and other Engineers.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
2+ years of related test engineering experience.
Proficiency in test software development using environments such as TestStand, LabVIEW, C#, C++, or Visual Basic.
Demonstrated ability to read schematics, interpret datasheets, and debug hardware at the component and system level.
Experience supporting manufacturing processes.
Preferred
5+ years of related test engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuits.
Advanced software development using TestStand or LabVIEW.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

* Assist in waste management, chemical inventory tracking, and environmental reporting.
