We are currently seeking an RN Clinical Support Analyst that will be responsible for supporting the clinical operations of the Banner Health Ambulatory and Acute Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing informatics expertise and resources for the acute specialty and ambulatory care clinical areas. As a resource, the ideal candidate provides ongoing clinical user support for various clinical teams and committees. This role will support the organization's vision and direction for computer systems, process design, data management, and related processes. The RN Clinical Support Analyst serves as a liaison between the clinical team members and the central education team, Nursing Informatics, and Clinical Applications Solution IT teams to communicate user needs and facilitate system optimization. As optimization of the electronic health record continues to move forward, clinician support and a mechanism for end-user education and feedback will help ensure success. The typical schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8a-5p. The primary location for this role will be acute facilities and ambulatory clinics in the Northern Colorado area (Greeley, Loveland, Fort Collins and surrounding communities). POSITION SUMMARY This position will serve as the subject matter expert for complex clinical workflows as they relate to systems and processes. May coordinate with other appropriate departments regarding downtime. 2. Performs Educator functions. Provides clinical application system training of end users as needed through the application of clinical expertise and technical skills. Utilizes data analytics to support needs-based training. Identifies opportunities for educational opportunities across specialties or venues. Participates in system teams that work on process improvement in electronic health record and clinical application education activities. 3. Performs Consultant and Project Coordinator functions. Maintains on-going user communication and support to ensure user competency and obtain information on usage of the system and workflow concerns through established, regularly scheduled rounding. Collaborates with end-users to help define issues and enhancement opportunities within the electronic health record. Provides project support in conjunction with project leadership for the deployment and support of new and existing IT clinical applications. Possesses excellent critical thinking skills and ability to resolve complex electronic health record issues, analysis of background function, quality measures, and interoperability. Brings clinical expertise in conjunction with operational leaders and all levels of clinical staff to support new and existing IT clinical applications. 4. Performs Advocate functions to ensure technology solutions support patient care standards and outcomes. System and operational collaboration with users, service area leadership, and IT field services to resolve conflicts between workflow and the electronic health record. Proficient at evaluation of complex clinical workflows, how to use them to better support clinical care, and escalation of suggestions for process improvement. Supports staff in the use of existing technology in a manner which promotes maintenance of patient safety and confidentiality and supports facility-specific and system-wide processes. Possesses the ability to lead, influence, and independently manage and assess results of projects or workgroups. Supports all levels of staff and providers across venues and care delivery teams to promotes maintenance of patient safety and confidentiality. 5. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of trends and advances in the field of healthcare IT as well as new developments of electronic health record and associated technologies. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices, regulatory standards, and organizational direction. Utilizes this knowledge in supporting users and process teams. Applies evidence-based research methodologies to maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and advances in the field of healthcare IT. Demonstrates expertise and coordinates documentation and workflow changes in response to evidence-based information. 6. This position must interact with and support all levels of end users throughout the facility or specialty area, including technicians, nurses, therapists, and physicians. Internal Customers: All levels of management and staff, medical staff, and other healthcare members for the purpose of integrating services, improving patient care, ensuring effective communication systems and facilitating decision making in clinical practice. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Incumbents must possess knowledge and experience equivalent to completion of a bachelor's degree in healthcare related field or related business discipline; and have an active RN license for a clinical position in a practicing state. Must have three to five years experience working within a complex and diverse health care setting. Must be proficient in the use of system office applications. Must possess a basic understanding of integrated clinical systems. Must have highly developed interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly. This position requires the ability to convey messages and thoughts clearly to a diverse audience, using both verbal and written mediums. In the Registered Nurse role you will be working onsite at Cole Creek Primary Care with a team of patient focused providers and team members. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy. 2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient's status. 3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel.
