Banner Gateway Medical Center offers 286 private rooms, nine operating suites and an Emergency department with 43 private treatment rooms. The 60-acre campus has the capacity to triple in size with the addition of two patient towers and coordinating support services. Our Facilities Operations Team is dedicated to supporting the clinical care providers throughout the hospital and off-site clinics, through assisting with various tasks related to the building, lighting, pneumatic tube system, room cooling/heating, plumbing system, medical gas system, etc.
As a MaintenanceTechnician, you'll take on a hands-on, high-impact role supporting our facility's operations. Your work will span plumbing, painting, electrical repairs, general maintenance, hand and power tool use, and basic refrigeration systems. You'll collaborate effectively with a team while also working independently with minimal supervision. A strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and a proactive sense of urgency are essential for success in this role. Previous experience in a healthcare facilities setting is highly preferred.
**Schedule: 7:00am -3:30pm, Monday - Friday, including rotating weekends.** Requires two or more years of Maintenance Tech experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing basic building maintenance preventative and corrective work to the facility. Building maintenance activities include but are not limited to general fire alarm systems, beds, TV's, plumbing, medical gas outlets, nurse call, pneumatic tube system, elevators, furniture, fixtures and equipment. Works with and assists other trades in completing required tasks. Some locations may have responsibility for other duties which might include security, groundskeeping and snow removal.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Maintains, repairs, and corrects all building components as assigned which may include but are not limited to general fire alarm systems, beds, TV's, plumbing, medical gas outlets, nurse call pneumatic tube system, elevators, furniture, fixtures and equipment. Keeps the designated manager informed as to the needs and / or changes required to keep the facility operating in a safe and well maintained condition.
2. Provides first line of response to facility maintenance needs to assure maximum operational effectiveness of the facility. Provides all required and appropriate documentation.
3. Works with all other divisions and departments to meet the facility maintenance, installation and construction needs, as assigned. Recommends use of outside maintenance specialty contractors as appropriate. Oversees and monitors outside maintenance specialty contractors to assure compliance with established hospital standards.
4. Monitors maintenance repair work, alterations and renovation upgrades to the facility, as assigned. Works with construction installation activities and processes to ensure the integrity of established facility standards, as requested.
5. Maintains maintenance components, materials and supplies at an appropriate level within budgetary constraints. Provides building maintenance input and feedback to the designated manager.
6. Maintains records for facility compliance with all applicable authorities having jurisdiction including, local, state, federal and all other regulatory codes pertaining to any and all components of the facility maintenance systems. As required, attends annual code compliance and update training.
7. Incumbents in this position may work independently under general supervision to fulfill responsibilities using specialized skills and knowledge. This position interacts with a wide variety of individuals including staff, co-workers, patients, physicians, visitors, regulatory agencies, surveyors, inspectors, contractors, and vendors. This position is facility based and has no budgetary responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED OR Equivalent and working knowledge of small project managing skills.
Facilities or departments, depending on business need, may require proof of a valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
Requires two or more years of diversified work experience as a maintenancetechnician with demonstrated maintenance or related skills.
Must be able to exercise independent decision making and judgment in the performance of all duties. Requires the ability to work safely and effectively with maintenance equipment. Must be proficient in reading and understanding related and required maintenance and construction documents. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required. Requires working knowledge and certification as required of applicable regulatory codes, and State and local building codes. Must be able to work effectively with commonly used office software programs.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Vocational, Technical or Apprenticeship training. Previous construction experience is preferred. Previous healthcare Facilities Services experience is preferred.

Team includes a manager, assistant manager, five other radiology technologists, and eight registered nurses.
Department utilizes EPIC for EMR.
Equipment includes Philips Azurion Imaging Equipment, Carto for EP ablations, and IVUS/FFR technology.
Scheduling includes one weekend on-call per month.
On-call schedule consists of 1-2 nights per week and one weekend call per month.
Holiday expectations include working one major holiday during the contract.
Requests for time off can be accommodated depending on dates.
Shift times are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with four 10-hour shifts per week.
Schedule is planned six weeks at a time.

The Maintenance Mechanic will help ensure that all equipment is functioning at optimal so there is no downtime while production is running. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Perform all work in a safe manner following company policies and OSHA regulations.
Perform Preventative Maintenance in accordance with Preventative Maintenance Procedures
Troubleshoot machinery, determine and implement corrective actions
Order parts as needed in accordance with company policy
Remove, modify and replacement of machine components as needed
Perform welding (includes ARC, MIG)
Torch cutting
Knowledge in metal fabrication
Familiar with pipe fittings
Able to learn to operate all machines
Knowledge of electrical functions and able to apply to assignments
Experience with PLC's and drives. Be able to program, change outputs/inputs, modify programs and use lap top to troubleshoot equipment
Able to work with or without schematics
Must work with and train new maintenance mechanics
Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Able to work Day or Afternoon shift, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed with short notice
Able to work with little supervision

Job Description
The SFMTA Transit Division's Maintenance of Way (MOW) Section is seeking an experienced, dependable, and strategic Deputy Chief Maintenance Officer (DCMO) of MOW Operations. The DCMO will provide high level leadership and strategic oversight for three functional units responsible for critical maintenance of all transit assets and infrastructure; Mechanical Infrastructure (comprised of Cable Car Track, Cable Car Propulsion, Light Rail Track, and Mechanical Systems), Electrical Infrastructure (comprised of Motive Power, Overhead Lines, Signals and Digital Systems) and Facilities Maintenance (comprised of Custodial Operations, Building Systems Maintenance, Skilled Trades, External Program Support and Shelter Platform and Maintenance). This position directs the work of Senior Operations Managers of these units and provides leadership across a workforce of maintenance professionals spanning multiple technical classifications. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, with extensive experience working at a large transit agency with both rail and trolley vehicles.
Under the direction of the Chief Maintenance Officer (CMO), the DCMO, stewards the agency's fixed-guideway infrastructure integrity and drives operational excellence through comprehensive planning, performance management, and analytical decision-making. Leads the development and execution of complex, high-impact programs that ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality transit infrastructure in support of SFMTA's multimodal operations. The DCMO advises and reports to the CMO on the state of critical guideway systems. The DCMO works closely with SFMTA engineering and project delivery stakeholders on capital projects, including review and recommendations related to all aspects of the projects. The DCMO provides direction on emergency response and resolution strategies for critical infrastructure incidents. The DCMO may be called upon to act on behalf of the CMO during their absence and cover the operational needs of the MOW section.
The DCMO oversees the implementation of robust preventive and corrective maintenance programs and provides strategic direction to MOW functional units Senior Operations Managers. The DCMO ensures all standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements are upheld and serves as representative to regulatory bodies and key stakeholders, including the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), and San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH).
The MOW section of the SFMTA Transit Division directly oversees the fixed guideway infrastructure to ensure smooth and safe operations of our rail and trolley-bus lines. MOW is comprised of three functional operation units (Mechanical Infrastructure, Electrical Infrastructure, Facilities Maintenance) as well as Engineering, Compliance and Administration units. Together these teams directly support four of the five SFMTA transit modes including trolley bus, light rail, historic streetcar, and cable car. The mission of the SFMTA Transit Division is to provide safe, reliable, clean, efficient, accessible, and convenient public transportation to any destination in San Francisco. Directs investigation of complaints and makes recommendations as to their adjustment; investigates fieldwork in process for compliance with proper procedures and methods; ensures that all facilities of the SFMTA MOW unit are inspected at regular intervals for compliance with safety laws, rules, regulations, and fire protection safeguards; confers with engineering personnel, Transit Division management, consultants, contractors and vendors on maintenance and repair projects, methods and procedures.
Assists in the development and advancement of subordinates through training and effective use of employee development program; through subordinate supervisory personnel directs the work of janitorial, maintenance and repair crews and related support staff.
The 9182 - Manager VIII may perform other duties as assigned/required.
Qualifications

Education:
Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;

Experience:
Eight (8) years of full-time experience at a mass transit agency in the operation, maintenance and repair in any of the following: power generating and related distribution systems; and/or electronic systems; and/or buildings, stations or passenger infrastructure; and/or use of heavy construction equipment; and/or track work; and/or maintenance engineering, which must have included five (5) years at the second supervisory level or management level which includes responsibility for supervising staff;

License:
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Education Substitution:
Additional years of qualifying experience (both second-level supervisory/management or non-supervisory) may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. One year (2,000 hours) will be considered equivalent to thirty (30) semester units/forty-five (45) quarter units.

The Med Gas-Vacuum Pump/Air Compressor Service Tech is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain, vacuum pumps and air compressors in healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate for the Medical Gas Service and Testing Technician position should also have experience and/or be trainable in environmental monitoring services including laboratory and hospital hazardous chemical agent exposure monitoring; ventilation surveys; operating room testing services, halogenated agent and N20 exposure monitoring and indoor air quality (IAQ) Monitoring
Essential Job Functions
Provide thorough and accurate trouble shooting and repair of medical vacuum pumps and air compressors (1.5-25HP)
Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, test and adjust
Perform regular preventive maintenance on various manufacturers pumps and compressors
Understand operating manuals for preventative maintenance service
Knowledge of control panels and ability to work inside cabinets with rated voltages of 208-460
Use of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor
Consult/assist in sales, as necessary
Pass along leads to the respective Sales Representative when received
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Wear proper safety garments
May require travel to other markets to supply support to other service personnel in facilitating scheduling and completing repair/PM service work orders
Utilize Field Aware system for job scheduling, job tracking and time reporting
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Physical Demands
Ability to lift to 50lbs
Overhead work.
Ability to carry equipment and climb ladders
Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, hold equipment, and drive for extended periods of time.

This is a full-time position and hours of work are typically Monday-Friday but will vary based on the requirements of the assigned job/facility.
This job can include some nights and weekends, depending on job/facility needs.
Travel
75% or more of travel may be required, with possible overnight stays.
Qualifications:
Medical Gas ASSE 6040 preferred, but not required at start of position
Will obtain ASSE 6040 and ASSE 6030 during course of employment (within 1-3 years)
Experience with pumps and compressors
Prefer a minimum of 2 years' experience in medical gas equipment part/component sales.
Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Highly organized, exceptional customer service skills & professional appearance and behavior
Ability to travel, work flexible hours & adjust the schedule as required to meet customer needs

As the Home Medical Equipment Technician, you will be assisting post-acute patients by teaching them about the safe and proper use of the medical equipment in their own home setting. You will enjoy an autonomous and outdoor work environment. You will be provided with a company cell phone and will be utilizing Banner trucks to deliver home medical equipment.
**This is a full-time position,** **Sunday - Thursday with Sunday 10:00 - 6:30pm and Monday - Thursday 12:00pm - 8:30pm. On call requirement (5-7)days per month. On-call starts from 7:30pm and ends at 8:00am next day. **
POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides service to Home Care patients through delivery, assembly, and instruction on safe use, follow-up visits, and on-call trouble shooting of home medical equipment. Completes daily logging, documentation, and follow-up on medical equipment and patients following all company policies and regulatory requirements. Participates in cleaning, testing, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of medical equipment following manufacture guidelines and company policy.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Loads, delivers, sets up and provides operational instructions, education and troubleshooting material with patient/caregiver on use of home medical equipment including but not limited to Oxygen, Pediatric oxygen, NPWT, Enteral, and bedroom/bathroom medical equipment and associated supplies, in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. May also assist with internal and external loan closet replenishment.
2. Completes required documentation associated with equipment pick-ups and equipment delivery, set up, instruction and education of products in accordance with company policy, state and federal regulatory requirements.
3. Responds to emergency delivery calls on a regular basis and participates in the on call troubleshooting and delivery rotation.
4. Clean and disinfect medical equipment. Inspects tests and performs equipment preventive maintenance to ensure proper operating condition according to manufacturer's guidelines and company policy.
5. Completes annual competencies of all products to ensure knowledge of current standards.
6. Helps to ensures delivery vehicle is in proper working condition by use of daily vehicle inspection. Maintains accurate daily vehicle inspection, inventory and route logs.
7. May have responsibility for operation and maintenance of the oxygen cylinder transfill station and warehouse functions.
8. Works independently on-site with patients and family members. Prioritizes work to balance patient satisfaction and company resources. Internal customers include staff, physicians and patients. External customers include vendors, physician office staff and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
One year of experience in hospital, home care, HME, transportation or other healthcare related setting. Must demonstrate excellent face-to-face customer service. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Ability to keep detailed records regarding equipment and medical records. Ability to communicate effectively. Able to prioritize and organize daily work according to patient needs.
