**Banner - University Medical Group** is seeking an experienced NursePractitioner (NP) to be part of a dynamic team providing clinical care in the Gastroenterology Clinic at Banner - University Medicine North Clinics. A previous gastroenterology background and exposure are preferred as are candidates who appreciate a team-based approach to caring for gastroenterology patients. We welcome both experienced practitioners and new graduates with related experience to apply.
As a NursePractitioner, this position is involved in clinical management of patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, education, consultation, and research. This position requires working closely with Gastroenterologists and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care within the _clinical faculty_ .
**Work Schedule:** Mon-Fri | 8am-5pm | No weekends or major holidays!
**Minimum Qualifications:**
New NP grads with related RN experience encouraged to apply
Current AZ NP license or eligible
Current NursePractitioner board certification
Active DEA license, BLS, CPR certification

Overview of Role:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides patient care as per Health Care Plans and within his/her/their Scope of Practice.

Provides responsive off-hours medical services physically or by phone when the clinic is closed, if applicable.
Supports and teaches team members at the site. Teaches students enrolled in a relevant health-profession training program.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and stays current with changes in this area.
Provides Human Resources staff the needed documentation, paperwork, and signatures to complete credentialing and privileging (initial and biannual).

Handles ongoing daily clinical work in a timely and thorough manner. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree.
Graduate of an accredited NursePractitioner Program.
Licensed in the State of Colorado.
Eligible for DEA licensure (new graduates should obtain within one year of hire).

One year of experience in ambulatory health care preferred.
