    Outpatient-Focused Advanced Practice Provider - Surgical Oncology (HPB) Division Banner University Medicine Tucson Banner University Medicine Tucson (B-UMCT) seeks a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for our Surgical Oncology Division. Specifically, this PA/ACNP will work with a team of 5 surgical oncologists who focus on complex procedures involving the liver, pancreas, and biliary system to treat both benign and malignant conditions including cancers, cysts, and inflammatory disorders. Position Focus: This role is primarily outpatient-based with some inpatient responsibilities (one inpatient day per week). The balance of outpatient and inpatient work is flexible depending on the candidate chosen. The PA/ACNP will support these complex oncology patients throughout their surgical journey, with emphasis on providing continuity of care from diagnosis through post-operative follow-up. Key Responsibilities: Manage outpatient clinical care with some inpatient support (there will be two APPs on the team, one inpatient focused but both expected to be able to cross cover both roles as needed) Facilitate smooth transitions between hospital and outpatient settings Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures such as drain removal, opening of wounds, basic wound care Interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications Collaborate with surgeons, residents, nurses, and other team members Participate in patient education, consultation, and research Ideal Candidate: Comfortable with clinical management in both Outpatient and Inpatient settings and works well in a collaborative multidisciplinary team.     **Banner University Medical Group Tucson is seeking to hire two experienced Advanced Practice Providers (ACNP or PA) to support to our Cardiothoracic Surgeons and team** . In this team-oriented practice, we all help each other to provide great care to our patients. As one might think, open heart surgery can be stressful, so the ability to work under pressure is a must. We are a teaching institution and have many individuals learning simultaneously. Good communication skills and a calm demeanor are essential in this position. This is a satisfying and challenging environment and one that requires extremely detailed skills along with a positive attitude. This APP professional will assist the CT surgeons in the OR setting in a first assist capacity. The ideal candidate helps Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and collaborates with Residents, Fellows, and clinicians from the Cardiology, Thoracic, Transplant, Radiology, and Anesthesia departments. The candidate needs the ability to work independently in the hospital to maintain patient flow efficiency. **Position Details:** + Full Time | Monday Friday 7a to completion of surgeries. + Experience with EVH is preferred. + Predominantly in the OR taking conduit (vein, radial arteries), helping with prepping, draping, opening, closing, and transitioning patient safely to the ICU & other perioperative care. + Rotating OR call, including transplant. **Required Qualifications:** + 2-3 years CT Surgery/OR experience (RNFA or Surgical First Assist experience preferred) + May consider new grads with a background in cardiac care. + Current Board Certification + Current Arizona License + Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS. + Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance. **Banner Benefits:** You take care of others.
