We are looking for a highly motivated BanquetServer to join our team! This individual will help to set up and prepare banquet room for banquet functions, serve and bus tables as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The BanquetServer will set up and prepare banquet room for banquet functions. The Server will also serve and bus tables as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
$13/hr. plus service charge payout (average $13-$18 per hour) - Paid biweekly (every two weeks)

SCHEDULE:
The hospitality industry is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. All candidates must be available and are expected to work Texas A&M football game days, Ring Days, graduations, and other high occupancy times due to special events. We strive hard to manage and minimalize overtime, but it should and will be expected when business levels call for it.
Full-time option: 30-40 hours per week depending on level of business forecasted
Part-time option: 8-29 hours per week depending on level of business forecasted
Days of week/weekend scheduled will vary depending on level of business forecasted.
Shift options: Start times vary based on forecasted events
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Set up for functions to include dropping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and put out table centerpieces.
Service to include picking up food from back hall, carrying trays to function location, serve food and clear the food from the tables.
Break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, vacuuming.
Responsibilities also include cleaning of back hall and organizing of storerooms.
Performs food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked.
Serves food and beverages to guests Removes dishes, glasses, silverware, or other items from tables/counter tops and takes them to the kitchen.
Cleans and sanitizes tables and/or counters & seats after guests are finished.
Provides general property information Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests.
Interacts with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
Giving the guest the best experience possible by going above and beyond
What are we looking for?
QUALIFICATIONS:
Food and beverage experience preferred, not required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of time depending on event requirements.
Ability to lift 35-50 lbs.

POSITION PROFILE

Keep station neat and clean while servicing guest per established policies and procedures.
Maintain a proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guest's needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
Use proper in-room clearing and aisle tray break-down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
Assist Lead BanquetServer in setting up/breaking down buffet or other special food service tables, stations, and equipment.
Follow all guest check and money-handling procedures when serving a-la-carte and food and beverage.
Complete assigned side work
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
High school education or equivalent experience.
Three - Six months experience in a food/beverage services environment or establishment.

Close all Banquet checks at the end of their function.
Help Manage department service standards, POS station, schedules and labor/beverage costs.
Attend necessary meetings involving events such as BEO meetings.
Help maintain/updating BEOS/ function sheets.
Check Banquet rooms, service, kitchen areas for cleanliness, proper set up.
What are we looking for?
High school diploma or equivalent
Five years banquets or catering experience; Two years in a leadership role
Excellent customer service skills

Job Summary
Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in bar area in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secures bank.
Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
Washes and sterilizes stemware.
Performs other duties as assigned.
