Job Description
The Banquet Server will serve food and beverage to guests in a quick and courteous manner.
The Banquet Server will adhere to guest service requirement listed above.
Greet guests with a smile and pleasant disposition in a timely manner.
The Banquet Server will observe and anticipate guest's needs, keeping table cleared between courses, and beverages filled throughout their meal.
Complete assigned side work and additional daily tasks.
The Banquet Server will inform immediate supervisor if situations arise with guests or fellow employees that cannot be handled directly.
Qualifications
1 year of banquet server experience in a convention center.
Knowledge of wines.
Knowledge of food preparation.
Food service experience.
Must successfully complete a TIPS training class (responsible for serving alcohol).
Outgoing personality with interest in guest hospitality.
Exceptional work habits.
Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening

Job Description
Receive and serve food and beverage orders from guests. May also be responsible for collecting payment and making change for guest checks.
Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
Receive and process food and beverage orders from guests utilizing a computerized guest check system.
Retrieves prepared orders from kitchen area and delivers to guests.
Carry and balance trays and/or push cart of food and beverages through kitchen and dining room (approximately 20 to 30 pounds).
Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the dining room.
Present check to guest. Collects payment and/or deliver to cashier.
Qualifications
Six (6) months of food and beverage service experience preferred.
Must be able to stand and walk for majority of shift.
Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds. Must be able to communicate in English.
Utilize computer system for placing food and beverage orders and processing payments.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities
Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders.
Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray.
Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with DLTCC standards of service.
Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met.
Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with DLTCC standards of service.
Maintain and inventory for both food and beverage stations.
Maintain all event areas and front of house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner.
Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
Ability to work independently during slower times
Perform safe work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment.
Have a high level of social contact. Ability to work closely with staff and deal often with patrons.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and select holidays.
Must be detail oriented to ensure that work is accurate and complete.
Ability to mutli-task.

Must have a customer-focused, positive and professional attitude.
Ability to read with oral and written communications skills in the English language.

High School diploma or equivalent GED strong preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in events, banquets or restaurants preferred.
