When necessary be able to manually itemizes total, and present check for payment to correct guests. Follows all cash handling and gaming guidelines. Ensures proper set up and maintenance of service station, tables, and common areas thought-out all dining rooms. Ensures that all silverware, glassware, flatware is polished, stocked, and set to service standards. Ensures sufficient set ups for service station, including silverware, china, sugar creamers, iced tea and coffee according to business levels. Knowledgeable in all liquor and wine service along with all state laws pertaining to sale and service of liquor and alcoholic beverages. Delivers prepared food to the appropriate guests within designated time standards of completed production of order. Monitors and resolves service issues for entire outlet according to service standards. Assists bus help, as necessary, in bussing, cleaning and setting tables. Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards. Deep cleans restaurant equipment (tables, chairs, booths, soda and juice dispensers, coffee machines), as scheduled or required. Operates and maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures. Recognizes Diamond & Emerald players and ensures they receive the appropriate service. Knows and promotes current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas. Clears, cleans, resets, and maintains station during shift. Assists other servers in giving the best possible service Handles guests' receipts according to internal policy. Remains up-to-date on casino events and hours of operation for all F&B outlets. Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort. Responsible for providing fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers. (2 minute or less production cycle for 15 drink tray). All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required Slices and pits fruit as required Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines Operates a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos Promotes casino events and programs Works closely with Players Club to promote new card sign up programs Works well with other, especially beverage servers, bartenders, bar helpers, beverage supervisors, and casino supervisors Provides personalized service and uses guest name Resolve service problems according to guidelines Takes food orders when working in the pub and delivers to guests Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
