Expected to work 40-60 hours per week throughout the year and additional hours during event weeks. * All other duties as needed. Duties & Responsibilities: * Serve members and/or guests during banquet functions to ensure positive guest experiences. Banquet functions range from small meetings and dinners to large weddings and galas. * Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent oral communication and listening skills. * Setup of banquet rooms as requested by the Manager/BEO to include glassware, silverware, linen, etc. * Attend pre-function meetings meetings prior to event kick off in order to learn function particulars, including member and guest expectations, menu, and timeline. * Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner. * Serve food and beverage in the appropriate order to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. * Carry plates, glassware and food on trays when serving guest and clearing. * Be able to independently solve problems of host and guests during events. * After banquet events, breakdown rooms, clean equipment and store in appropriate space, clean and organize banquet service areas and storage spaces. * Works alongside, and in conjunction with, the restaurant staff and bartenders for Club Events. * Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness. * Being able to consistently perform tasks to ensure all event components are setup and executed on time. * Being able to consistently perform tasks with little direct supervision. * Attend all required meetings and trainings. * Comply with Oak Hill Country Club Food and Beverage Vision and Values. * Carries out bylaws and policies set by the Board of Directors. * Any, and all other duties, as assigned by your management. Experience * Previous waitress, waiter or banquet server experience preferred. * Country club experience strongly preferred. Education * High school or equivalent education required. Licenses and Special Requirements * Valid driver's license. * Food safety certification. * Alcoholic beverage certification. Physical Demands and Work Environment * Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. * Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. * Able to meet and perform the physical requirements of the job and to work effectively in an environment that is typical of this position. * Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling. * Must be able to lift 75 pounds. * Must be 18 years of age. * Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. * Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.     Part-time Description General Description: Individual will serve as the guest contact/liaison for the Center. The Banquet Server is responsible for proper table service, hospitality, and professionalism, which are expected of a full-service facility. This position reports to the Banquet Manager, Assistant Banquet Manager, Banquet Captain, Food & Beverage Manager and/or Manager on Duty. Primary Responsibilities: Works as scheduled and in proper uniform with nametag. To act in a professional manner at all times. To perform a pull for an event (all china, glass, silverware, and small wares). To polish all silverware, chafing dishes, and glassware prior to set up. To obtain instructions for set up from Banquet Captain/Manager and execute these instructions immediately. Individual must ask questions regarding set up, items to be served, pick up areas, pick up times, breakdown and coffee station locations; as well as communicate instructions to and from supervisor and other servers. Responsible for the proper set up and service of all food functions assigned as stated in the waitstaff service manual. Be aware of or obtain knowledge of guest comfort locations such as restrooms and pay phones. Serve ladies first. Serve all food items from the left and clear such items from the right. Serve all beverages from the right. Individual's stations must be completely set and rechecked before the event begins to ensure all items are correctly placed. Once the station is set up the individual must stand by station and be ready to greet the guests and begin service. Standing at parade rest with hands behind their back.
