The BanquetServer is responsible for setting up, executing, and breaking down events at the Club. Banquet staff receive an Event Order and translate the instructions from the host and the Events Director into a full-scale event. Banquet bartenders are responsible for assembling, managing, and serving alcohol inventory, documenting consumption through the event. Banquet bartenders also double as servers for events that require less alcohol service. The houseman team sets the furniture in the room, while the banquet staff set tables, arrange décor, set buffets, and drink stations. Throughout the event, they provide food and beverage service to guest, working as a team to create a memorable experience.
Reports To: Banquet Manager, Banquet Captains, Banquet and Club Functions Director
Compensation: ALL POSITIONS ARE NON-TIPPED POSITIONS. Pay is $15 per hour for servers, and $16 per hour for bartenders with experience. Full time employees (30+ hours per week) are eligible for Club's excellent benefit package to include health, medical, and dental insurance, 401K, paid vacation, PTO, employee meals, and employee golf.

Maintains records of liquors, beers and wine to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times.
Cleans and locks the bar area according to prescribed closing procedures.
Ensures that all food items are correctly stored, labeled, dated and rotated to prevent any health or safety hazards from occurring, and takes precautions against possible spoilage.
Attends staff meetings including pre-shift (line-up) sessions and training as required.
Carefully follows all laws and club policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service and informs manager if continued service to a member or guest is in question.
Serves drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables in the absence of a beverage server.

THE TASK AT HAND:
Making whatever the mood calls for - mimosas at brunch, craft cocktails with our chef's tasting menu, or espresso drinks to-go.
Creating a warm, friendly, and laidback atmosphere that turns first-time guests into regulars.
Learning our steps of service, products, menu, and systems inside and out.
Working with the team to ensure the restaurant and bar run smoothly with everything in its place. We like to keep things tidy and fun for patrons and our staff.
Restocking, replenishing, and prepping the bar as needed.
Communicating openly with bar and restaurant managers when it comes to customer feedback.
Collaborating with the hotel staff to ensure overnight guests visit the bar and know about all the great offerings (and promotions!) available exclusively to them.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Excellent knowledge in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
Fluency in English; both verbal and non-verbal preferred
Ability to provide legible communication and directions
Compute basic arithmetic
Proven working experience as a bartender
Relevant training certificate
1-3 years of experience as a Bartender

To provide efficient friendly customer service at all times and to maintain a clean professional appearance. Ensuring service bar and bar guests are satisfied in a prompt, timely manner.
Responsibilities
Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
Must have full knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation and organization of bar area.
Properly provide silverware and condiments prior to food being presented at bar area.
Clean and resetting of bar area as guests depart or preparation of drink is completed.
Proper bar setup and break down.
Triple sink procedures.
Communicate with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff professionally at all times.
Contributes to a professional workplace that maximized employee moral, productivity and effectiveness. Ensures responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements including carding and consumption.
Accurately takes food and beverage orders from guests and promptly records all transactions in Micros system. Maintains guest tabs and processes payment promptly.
Monitors pars.
Must have experience selling/up selling.
Must have knowledge of wine, spirits and beer.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-year bartending experience required in a high-volume casual/sports bar environment.
Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer, to including appropriate pours and mixology.
Previous cash handling experience required.
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, in person and on the phone.
Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS.
Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills.
Must be TABC certified, or have the ability to obtain a valid TABC permit prior to date of hire.

Your Qualifications Includes:
Previous experience in a food and beverage setting is required, with bartending experience highly preferred.
