Job Description
The Bartender at Kindred Spirits delivers a warm, polished bar experience that matches our casual fine-dining vibe. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, crafting quality beverages, supporting food & beverage service, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and ensuring responsible alcohol service. Reports to: FOH Team Lead (all shifts).
Compensation:
$8 - $11 hourly plus tips
Responsibilities:
Welcome and engage guests with friendly, attentive service that reflects our hospitality standards
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately, following recipes, portion standards, and presentation expectations
Communicate drink features, specials, and beverage updates to guests and servers
Support food service and coordinate with servers and the kitchen to ensure smooth, timely service
Verify guest identification and follow responsible alcohol service, food safety, and sanitation standards
Open and close the bar, including stocking, prep, cleaning, and restocking for the next shift
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout the shift
Complete side duties, assist team members during busy periods, and perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of classic cocktails, beer styles, and basic wine service preferred
Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions
Responsible alcohol service training required (or willingness to obtain)
Professional, friendly communication with guests and teammates
Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, organization, and consistency
Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to assist where needed
Good judgment regarding alcohol service and guest safety
Ability to stand and move for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and perform repetitive motions
Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is typically required
Must be 21 years of age or older
