A Polysomnographic Technician 3 assists the lab supervisor in all areas, acts as a resource technologist, when necessary, and takes call when needed based on departmental need. A Polysomnographic Technician ensures the flow of patients and polysomnographic studies in the department on patients of all ages. The Phlebotomy Technician performs phlebotomy functions including, but not limited to; obtains blood specimens by reviewing test orders, reading patient identification, performing venipunctures and fingerstick, initialing, dating, and noting times of collection. and results; notifying physician of abnormal results. This position performs related clerical duties. Will act as a receptionist, greet patients, and answer phones in the lab. Performs EKG's according to established procedures. Readily accepts changes in assignment. Performs work level of equal skill and responsibility as needed. May also perform work of a higher level in preparation for increased responsibility and may be required to do work of lesser responsibility when the workload of the department so requires.

Under the direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs a variety of duties to assist the staff in delivery of patient care. The PCT spends a majority of his or her time interacting with, assisting, and supporting our patients. Provides general non-technical assistance to the nursing staff. Responsible for the general maintenance of equipment, room and supplies. What you will do Responsibilities may include, but is not limited to assisting with ambulating and mobilization of patients, taking and recording the patient's vital signs (i.e., BP, Temperature, Pulse, Respirations, & O2 sat), weighing patients, assisting with personal hygiene / AM Care (i.e., Oral Care, Bathing the patient, etc.), assisting with bedpans and toileting, catheter care, empty drains, turning bedridden patients or patients that need assistance with turning, linen changes, assisting with meal preparation, feeding patients, I&O, light cleaning and organizing of patients room, answering call lights, and relaying pertinent information to the nurse. Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to provide direct care to patients in collaboration with licensed personnel. Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the department/division, as defined in the scope of service, to ensure that the unique nature of the client is addressed including: Sitting with patients and sitting with Baker Acted Patients.
