Server / Bartender:


Shifts: We are currently open Monday-Sunday 4pm-12am. Shifts can be 3pm-closing, 5:30pm-closing, but they can very depending on availability and needs


As a Server/Bartender you would be...


Responsible for providing food and beverage service to all guests, while following local health department standards, Suburban Inns' Core Values, as well as going above and beyond to ensure that guests are 100% satisfied.

Essential Functions:


Report to work in professionally appropriate attire, presented neat and clean Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valued Anticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step further Check section assignment Inspect section prior to lunch/dinner rush (wipe tables, clean window sills, clean table bases, wipe chairs, clean and fill salt & pepper shakers, clean floor) Roll lunch/dinner silverware (knife, fork) Take room service orders and deliver them to guests Obtain orders from guests ensuring accuracy Ensure all guests have proper ID, are over 21 years of age, and that drinks are not served to intoxicated patrons Verify accuracy of the bill, and present to the guest Handle all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as possible, but also follow the One More Step guidelines by taking charge of the issue and offering solutions Complete assigned shift duties Pre-bus tables Run food and help others when able Provide pool service to guests in pool area Complete closing shift work Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records Other duties as requested by management

We are currently seeking a Part Time Bartender

A Gallagher Part-Time Bartender handles beverage preparation, bar and lounge service, as well as finishing steps of food preparation. They will be serving cocktail, craft beers and local draft wines.

Essential Functions:


Assist in the inventory all liquor and supplies in accordance with business needs. Responsible for maintaining stock and adequate set-up of the bar, cutting and storing of all fresh garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality. Inputs orders into MICROS system at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served. Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by the Beverage Manager.



Position Requirements:


Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes Minimum of two years food and beverage experience or other beverage experience required. Previous bartending experience is preferred. Must have food handler's and BASSETT Certification for the State of Illinois.

$200 Referral bonus for all current associates. Refer someone who is successfully hired into this role for 15 hours worked and receive a $200 referral bonus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver beverages and other products throughout the facility, in an efficient and timely manner.
• Stock product in beverage storage; ensures that inventory levels of supplies are maintained.
• Report all needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Keep work area and equipment neat and clean.
• Empty trash containers and delivers trash to appropriate dumpsters if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to read and interpret delivery forms and purchase orders.
• Basic math skills for counting inventory.
• Ability to follow job procedures and supervisor instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, move or maneuver up to 165 lbs.
• Ability to pull heavy carts of stock throughout the facility.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting and reaching, during the entire length of shift.
• Exposed to outdoors and variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold, depending on the season.
• Exposed to fumes from delivery trucks and other equipment.
