A Barback is responsible for preparing and servicing permanent and portable bars throughout the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
What will I be doing?


As a Barback, you would be responsible for preparing and servicing permanent and portable bars throughout the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


Retrieve orders from storeroom, visually check stock and reconcile with written requisitions to ensure order accuracy and re-check stock upon delivery Prepare the bar by cutting, slicing and peeling perishable garnishes and fruits, mixing and pouring juices and storing back-up supplies in prescribed containers Check with and assist the bartender to stock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce Transport taps and replace and perform routine maintenance on beer kegs Maintain cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators and storage areas in accordance with federal, state, local and company codes

The Bar Back, supports the Bartender and other staff ensuring the bar is fully stocked from all alcohol products, glassware, flatware, utensils,. food products, ice, cleaning or making basic repairs. Removing used dishes and utensils from the bar area and other assigned areas as requested.
Job Description
Assists the bar and restaurant staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize our guests dining experience.Keeps station restocked throughout the shift.Cleans large and small trays and tray stands to be ready for service.Assists the server as needed to optimize the guest's dining experience.Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift.Reports any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents and/or injuries to the chef or other manager on duty.Correctly completes closing duties at the end of each shift.Completes all side work in the front and/or back of the house as assigned and scheduled by the members of the management team.Assisting with opening and closing duties, such restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that Bartenders have clean towels, glassware, etc.Ensuring bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs or changing out kegs, if needed.Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles.Learning about menu items and memorizing cocktail recipes.Taking orders, preparing drinks, bussing tables, opening tabs, and processing payments especially during peak hours.Speaking to customers, answering questions.Maintain records and report levels of usage to assist in reordering process and ensuring that delivered items are stored properly.
