Sugarloaf is seeking outdoor enthusiasts to join our Mountain Operations Team as full time and part time Lift Operators for the current winter season. Sugarloaf Lift Operators assist guests by operating our resort ski lifts, including inspecting and testing for safety before opening. Lift Operators maintain lift line mazes, lift area ramps, and other work areas by shoveling and raking snow. A Sugarloaf Lift Operator must be reliable, energetic, outgoing, and able to interact with guests in a friendly and fun manner. This is an outdoor position and work occurs in all weather conditions. The Ski Patrol Hill Chief is a frontline supervisory position that is embedded in daily on-hill operations. The Hill Chief is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of established patrol procedures. This role reports to the Assistant Patrol Director and/or the Patrol Director and plays a critical role in coordinating the patrol team and maintaining safety standards across the mountain. Sunday River is seeking Baristas for our signature coffee shops, Northern Lights and Coffee Hound. This role is a front-of-the-house, directly guest-facing, hands-on position, and will be trained, if not already experienced, to have a thorough knowledge of classic Italian espresso drinks as well as more modern hot and cold brew coffee drinks. Similar to bartenders, a barista is highly engaging with customers, strives to remember repeat customer's drinks, and is often rewarded with the benefit of tips (based on their interactions with customers and the quality and details of the products they serve). A successful barista is a multitasker, organized, and able to work under pressure in an often fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and great customer service, along with high self-motivation and the desire to work with people go a long way in this role. The Barista position requires the capacity to describe all items on the outlet's drink and food menus and spend most of the workday standing while being able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
