As a Direct Support Professional, you will be a vital part of someone's life, helping individuals with developmental disabilities reach their personal goals, while leading active and independent life styles. Prior experience is not necessary - we offer comprehensive training to ensure you have the tools you need to succeed. What you'll need: (Qualifications) Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Pre-hire Clearances: State Police Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance (if you have not lived in PA for the past 2 years). Ability to pass Medication Administration and CPR/First Aid Certification What you'll bring: A commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all individuals. Assisting individuals in becoming active members in their community, including activities, hobbies, and social events - helping our individuals to build relationships and lead active lives. Responsible for transportation to work, appointments, or social gatherings. Advocating for individuals' choices and ensuring they have a voice in their personal care and decisions. Celebrating successes and milestones, big or small, and providing emotional support when challenges arise. Helping with housekeeping tasks to maintain a comfortable, welcoming home environment.
