The Cafe Barista / Cashier prepares and serves deli food items, hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. The responsibilities include educating customers on our drink and food menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, upselling special items, taking, and making the orders. This is a part time position that requires flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Take food and beverage orders
Prepare and serve food and/or beverage orders to recipes, in a timely and efficient customer friendly fashion while maintaining Towne Corner Café & Market standards and protocols
Operate a cash register and receive payment from guests accurately, knowing how to accurately count back change and follows all cash handling policies and procedures
Greet all guests with professionalism while maintaining the company's high standard for excellence in hospitality
Maintains a calm professional demeanor during peak periods of high volume
Address any guest concerns promptly and professionally
Anticipate guests' needs
Set up and closing responsibilities, to include restocking guest areas and product displays
Monitor and communicate replenishment needs to kitchen and/or manager / supervisor
Knowledgeable about all products so you may provide our customers with information about them and look for an opportunity to upsell those products
Follows company operational policies and procedures including those for safety and security to ensure the safety of all guests and co-workers during each shift
Thank guests for coming and encourage their return
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: $16.50 hourly rate plus gratuity averaging $22.00 to $27.00 per hour
