Irwin Barkan graduated from Brandeis University in 1972; he and his wife, Lindsay, have three children and reside in Waitsfield, VT.
The Company was founded in 1984 by Irwin and Lindsay Barkan as an independent business investing in Real Estate and Retail operations throughout the United States and Canada.

The work started in January 1988 in Holon.
The company recently completed a preferred equity joint venture investment in a Massachusetts shopping center with Kimco Realty, a NYSE REIT. Kimco has made other investments with I.J. Barkan, Inc. since 1989.
Both companies were successfully sold in the early 1990's.
Since joining Barkan in 1994, he has grown their fee management portfolio from 3,500 to 23,000+ units and positioned the company as a significant regional service provider throughout the Northeast Corridor.

Jerry joined Barkan Management in June 2000 and presently oversees our Hopkinton regional office as well as our Cape Cod and Plymouth County office.
Barkan acquired and operated four Dunkin Donut franchises in 2001 with sales of approximately $1.2 million.
Jim Merski, CPA, Vice President – CFO, has been with Barkan Management since 2014, when he joined as the company’s chief financial officer.
In 2019, sales in US online stores almost tripled compared to the previous year.
