Matthew E. Monaghan is an independent director who joined the Board in October 2016, and is a member of the Audit Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. Monaghan currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer at Invacare Corporation (NYSE:IVC) (“Invacare”), a medical device manufacturer for the home and long-term healthcare markets, a position he has held since April 2015. Mr. Monaghan also has served as Operating Executive for Texas Pacific Group from 2006 to 2009 and at Cerberus Capital Management from 2003 to 2005. He started his career with 13 years in the aerospace, medical and other industrial businesses of General Electric. Mr. Monaghan is a trustee of Cleveland Clinic Avon Lake Hospital. Mr. Monaghan was a member of the board of directors of CD Diagnostics, Inc. from 2012 to 2016 and served as the chairman of the Audit Committee from 2012 to 2015 and as chairman of the board from 2015 to 2016. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from INSEAD Business School in France.
