JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Students working at the poultry farm will assist in all faucets of the operation. Cleaning and disinfection of pens, set up of new pens for research projects and facility birds, feeding, water management, egg collection and processing and sales, meat bird and turkey processing for sales, incubation and hatching of eggs, artificial insemination of hens and collection of fertile eggs, feed mixing and ration development. Students will also get to work on data collection with department investigators. Hours will vary throughout the week, weekends are mandatory. Housing is available on a limited basis.
This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

This position is responsible for providing supervision of students and student workers in the management of the English equestrian program and the care of their horses. This includes the daily supervision of horse management, barn chores, inspecting horses for disease and injury, treatment of horses and the administration of medicines, facilitating rehabilitation exercise programs of horses, veterinarian and farrier scheduling, and setting feed rations for the horses. Responsible for the appearance of the barns and maintaining professional levels of cleanliness. Also maintains the feed, medicine, and supply inventory. Acts as liaison between the students and veterinarians and assists veterinarians and farriers with services.
Essential Functions
This position requires regular, as scheduled, reliable attendance in the campus environment.
1. Assist and support student learning and success when requested by the faculty or the director of the program and when such requests do not conflict with completion of other tasks.
2. Provide monthly nutritional evaluations for each horse to maintain the appropriate energy needs of the horse along with proper body condition.
3. Evaluate sick, lame, and injured horses and schedule veterinary appointments for those requiring veterinarian evaluations.
4. Prepare weekly farrier schedules, veterinary appointments and barn related work study lists.
5. Provide daily correspondence with the Business Manager and the Instructional staff concerning barn related concerns and daily horse updates (horse vet results, horse injuries/illnesses, etc.).
6. Ensure that the horses receive their daily medications, therapy, etc. and the treatments are recorded.
7. Lead students and break workers in maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization in the barns. Perform barn chores as necessary to maintain a professional appearance.
8. Work with Farm Business Manager on hay, grain, and sawdust inventories and coordinate deliveries.
9. Participate in instructing and grading students in the proper care of the horse including feeding, stall cleaning, sheath cleaning, clipping/grooming, trailer loading, weekend barn responsibilities, body scoring, etc.
10. Supervise and monitor all non-riding barn activities of the students while at the farm.
11. Schedule and assist weekend supervisors and barn assistants with weekend duties.
12. Oversee the care of donation horses that come in for a two week trial. Ensure that the donation process moves along swiftly so that the Instructional evaluation and Veterinary evaluation are completed within the two week period.
13. Correspond with Farm Business Manager, instructors, students and clients about sicknesses, lameness and farrier concerns.
14. Assist with the running of collegiate horse shows.
15. Hire, schedule, and supervise workers and oversee horse and facility care during the holiday and summer breaks.
16. Identify and perform facility maintenance when needed.
17. Respond to situations requiring intervention when on call during the evening/overnight hours or weekend.
18. Perform all tasks necessary to ensure efficient operation of the farm as directed by the Farm Business Manager.
19. Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for this position.

Field Support Laborer
Report to: Field Support Coordinator
The Field Support Laborer plays a key role in supporting Kwest Group s operations by ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained, organized, and readily available for field teams. This hands-on role directly contributes to the safety, efficiency, and success of our projects. We re looking for someone who not only takes pride in doing quality work but brings a positive attitude, a strong sense of initiative, and a genuine drive to support the team. The ideal candidate embraces challenges, looks for ways to improve, and takes action without needing to be asked someone who has the want to go above and beyond to help others succeed.
Safety training by the company will be required for all team members. Out-of-town work is probable and may require travel of up to three weeks away from home at a time. Dependable attendance and punctuality are critical.
Responsibilities
Repair and maintain small tools and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of small tools and supplies.
Deliver small tools and supplies to various job sites as needed, which includes occasional overnight stays and out-of-town travel.
Assist DOT personnel in coordinating truck swaps when necessary.
Support truck drivers in loading and unloading equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist mechanics with service tasks, parts delivery, and repair efforts as needed.
Order items to fulfill requests promptly and ensure adequate stock of essential supplies.
Wash and clean equipment to maintain quality appearance and operational condition.
Facilitate and direct requests from team members and departments in a timely and respectful manner.
Operate heavy equipment when needed in support of projects or equipment movement.
Carry out additional duties as requested by supervisor.
Education and Qualifications
The ability to handle a variety of situations and change priorities.
Must have a valid driver s license and be insurable by the company.
Basic computer skills.
Accurate record keeping.
Regularly required to stand, sit, and move about the facility.
Regularly required to drive and negotiate various job sites, which can include climbing on/off equipment, ladders, etc.
Work under minimal supervision.
Willing to travel and stay out of town as needed.
Must possess ability to communicate with all field personnel including Superintendents, Crew Leads and Foremen.
Health & Safety regulations and procedures including proper lifting techniques.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and organized work habits allowing unsupervised work.
A commitment to the concept of "doing it right the first time."
This position is based on a 45 55-hour workweek.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Travel from site to site will be required.
Work environment will normally be an active construction site. Exposure to dust, noise, high heat, extreme cold, and rain should be expected.
Team member must be physically able to perform repetitive motion and heavy lifting, as described below.
Must be able to maintain effective audio and visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties.
Must wear all employer-mandated personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, safety vests, and safety-toed work boots. Other PPE may be required from time to time depending on special safety concerns. All PPE will be provided by the company at no cost to the employee, other than safety boots.
Must be able to hear with or without the use of a hearing device and clearly see at least 30 feet with or without the use of corrective vision lens.
Must be able to work while wearing a respirator if necessary.
Alternate standing and walking on uneven terrain surfaces, such as hillsides, muddy and icy soils, and other working surfaces. Safe negotiation of all types of surface conditions will always be required.
Bending, squatting, and kneeling will be required frequently during a workday.
Continual lifting of up to 50 lbs. for distances of 30 feet or more.
Constant pushing and pulling of certain tools and materials will be required over a day s work.
The team member must be able to differentiate and / or identify colors.
Must have knowledge of occupational hazards in this field and standard safety practices. Must be able to pass the 30 Hour OSHA testing and First Aid/CPR requirements before starting work.
Must complete and meet requirements under the physical demands of this through a pre-employment physical examination.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
This is a highly physical job in a fast-paced environment on an active horse breeding farm. An exceptional opportunity for students interested in the equine industry or veterinary school.
Daily schedule includes feeding and caring for approximately seventy horses, ranging from newborn foals to yearlings to adult mares and stallions. Tasks include but are not limited to cleaning stalls, stacking hay, mowing, caring for sick horses, working with young horses under supervision, feeding, farm maintenance, and helping with breeding.
Candidates should have a strong work ethic and prior horse experience is preferred. Weekends and some long days will be required.

This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
