We are conducting a search for a Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead the financial and construction oversight of capital infrastructure and mine-related projects within a large North American industrial organization.
This role manages multiple complex scopes, including geotechnical systems, water conveyance infrastructure, mine expansions, and regulated environmental projects, from initiation through completion. The position works cross-functionally with internal engineering, environmental, and technical subject matter experts, as well as external engineering and construction partners.
This is a hands-on project leadership role suited for candidates with a civil or geotechnical engineering background, strong contractor management experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic operating environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage capital projects with accountability for scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and contractor performance
Execute projects in accordance with internal capital project governance frameworks from concept through close-out
Oversee engineering design activities, including development of work packages, management of external engineering firms, and review of technical deliverables
Collaborate during Front-End Loading (FEL) phases to define scopes, milestones, and deliverables

Proven project management experience in site development projects, including developing and managing project schedules and budgets
Practical experience with stormwater modeling using MGS Flood, WWHM, and other software
Practical experience producing construction documents using Civil 3D
Exceptional organizational and communication skills to effectively drive projects to completion
Strong attention to detail, recognizing that precision is key to project success
