Coordinate with production, engineering, toolroom, quality, and maintenance to ensure all aspects of new production runs are complete prior to actual production. Process development, process capability, IQ OQ PQ validations and design of experiments, SPC, machine technology, and capability studies. Use of SIM tools (RJG eDart based) and other advanced platforms to develop robust processing windows on n ew and current tool and process capability studies, evaluations and recommendations. Develop and execute protocols and reports as required to support validation activities. Including SIM tool documentation, process analysis and reporting of data in clear format to be used in Validation Reports Participate in Program (Design) Reviews. The Daily Process Engineer provides technical services to produce high quality Dyneema fiber and Dyneema LP products in a cost-effective manner while maintaining excellent safety, human relations, and environmental standards. The Daily Process Engineer will operate within the organizational structure to provide process support and improvements for Avient Protective Materials. The person in this role will interact with all staff and local, site, and global colleagues. They will be knowledgeable of the Dyneema processes and product quality requirements for at least one of the major product types. This position is responsible for design and manufacture of profile extrusion tooling and development of custom processes with the objective of improving total quality, material usage and productivity. They will work closely with Manufacturing, QC, Materials, and Sales teams to achieve these common team objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains compliance with the Company and plant safety policies and procedures. Completes all annual training as required. Design tooling and develop processes for mono and co-extrusion plastic profiles, tubes and secondary fabrication individually or with other Process Engineers. Lead new tooling development process for the project assigned using hands-on approach to meet customer expectation with quality and on time delivery of samples. Partners with other staff members; production, maintenance and QC to develop the process to get first article samples approved. Coordinate the tooling needs for new products with Die Development, technicians, Production Manager and other involved in producing first article samples. To provide technical assistance to Paper/Polywoven Packaging Manufacturing Plant operations in the form of process improvement, cost reduction, safety enhancement, and efficiency. Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP's, Work Instructions, and Safe Quality Food system requirements (SQF) are in compliance. II. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES Within the limits of applicable policies, procedures and established plans, he/she has authority to take action and make decisions. Functional Responsibilities Assign personnel to machines/equipment in support of the production schedule. Monitor and inventory operating supplies with respect to scheduled orders.
