Serve as Action Officer, reporting to the Director of F-35: Aircraft Mate Operations
What You Will Be Doing
* Primary responsibilities: Execution of build team business rhythm, collection, preparation, and reporting of key performance metrics, accurate and timely internal/external communication flow, documentation & follow-up of action items, & overall project management of strategic initiatives to ensure effective cross-build team & cross-functional coordination/integration.
* Provide oversight and support of internal & program required business rhythm: Facilitation of recurring meetings, as well as scheduling & establishment of ad-hoc emerging requirements and reviews.
* Prime contact for Executive level reviews. Ensures completed staff work: Consolidation & aggregation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) associated with Quality, FOD, Cost, & Schedule. Monitors & assesses KPI trends and provides analysis and feedback to senior production leadership.
* Coordinates with fellow Action Officer across F-35 Production Program. Ensures integration & commonality of effort associated with VIP engagements, tours, reviews, & employee engagement activities.
* Documents and tracks action items on behalf of build team senior leadership. Ensures timely & accurate follow-up/closure, to include elevation of constraints jeopardizing critical milestones and performance goals.
* Provide & apply robust project management skills. Ensure assigned projects have detailed plans, time-phased schedules, assigned ownership, & resources needed for accomplishment. Drive accountability and follow-up to key stake holders, primary POC's, & action item owners resulting in flawless execution. Additionally, will partner with senior build team leadership in strategic planning activities needed to prepare for future, increased production rates.

General Description:

Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of multi-axis turning operations, blueprint reading, tool setups, and in-process inspection techniques. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently, troubleshoot minor issues, and contribute to a team-focused manufacturing environment.
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate Doosan CNC lathes with live tooling, Y-axis functionality, and Fanuc controls.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to ensure machining to spec.
• Perform tool changes, set offsets, and make minor G-code edits to maintain tolerances.
• Conduct part inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.).
• Monitor machine performance and adjust machining parameters for efficiency and tool life.
• Ensure parts meet quality and dimensional standards throughout production runs.
• Complete required documentation including job travelers, inspection sheets, and production logs.

What you will be doing
Maintain a Productivity and efficiency rating of 85%
Stop production and contact the Supervisor when quality problems are detected.
Inform Supervisors when machines and/or tools break down.
Maintain a clean and safe work area for all. Good housekeeping is a must.

Must be willing to cross-train on other jobs throughout the plant, as needed.
Make certain all-applicable safety equipment is in proper working order before operating a tool. Report any safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
Make periodic checks to ensure assembled component parts match the samples supplied by the Supervisor, or Set-Up Person. Perform all required SPC.
Check the material to ensure that it is not defective.
Ensure that correct Hydro part numbers, customer part numbers, and piece counts are marked on each rack, cart, or skid that is sent to the next internal operation or packaged for shipment.
Properly identify and account for all scrap before leaving the area or the general production area. Complete all required documentation.
Work to increase productivity and quality in the assembly area and/or the general production area. Make suggestions to improve the quantity and quality of finished product.
When conditions dictate, overtime may be required (with little or no prior notification).

Prior experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is required.
