Responsibilities: Monitor and supervise the overall operation and maintenance of the processing facilities including all support systems and infrastructure Develop and lead a zero-incident safety culture in a sustainable, highly complex metallurgical facility in which all employees are engaged and working toward the business goals of the organization Monitor and analyze plant performance to maximize production, maximize utilization/availability, improve reliability, identify opportunities for research projects to improve maintenance or process systems, explore new technologies and drive plant improvements while providing technical support to operations and maintenance personnel Interface with cross-functional groups to develop production targets for forecasts and budgets, as well as coordinate the above activities with other mine departments, environmental, safety and health Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgy, Minerals/Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related degree required. We are looking for a Manager, Maintenance Engineering at our Carlin processing operations consisting of two roaster facilities, one autoclave facility, one concentrator, and three heap leach CIC plants. Reporting to the Processing Manager and working in close collaboration with the Plant Managers, the Manager, Maintenance Engineering oversees the integrity and statutory requirements of all processing assets, key infrastructure improvement plans, maintenance improvement plans, and reliability improvement processes for the processing facilities. The role leads the engineering, reliability, and planning teams across the Carlin processing plants to drive a program of work in support of improved equipment reliability, asset integrity, compliance, process safety, and asset performance. The role is accountable for engineering standards, compliance, management of change and document control, and is responsible for administering the site-wide critical risk register. The engineering team owns the technical specifications of the fixed plant infrastructure, and this role ensures the provision of quality in-house technical expertise. The Manager, Maintenance Engineering is also responsible for the development and management of the Life of Mine sustaining capital plans for the plants, budgets and forecasts, and supporting the plant managers in the prioritization of projects for maximum business benefit. The role has “dotted line” oversight to process maintenance execution. Direct accountability for maintenance planning, engineering, reliability, small capital improvement projects (low value or simple in complexity), Process Control and Operational Technology, and operational excellence / improvement across the Carlin Processing Facilities. Perform a maintenance systems governance function for Carlin Processing. Manage the interface with the Capital Projects team on larger projects to ensure seamless development, execution, and operational readiness.
