POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is a leader in the maintenance department and supervises the maintenance staff. They will work closely with the management team and other departments including production, mobile maintenance, and the quarry. Submit and review backlog list with priorities to all department heads.
Coordinate availability of manpower, parts, materials, equipment.
Reporting:
Maintain records, charts, and indexes. Including but not limited to: MSHA records, Environmental records, and ISO records.
Post daily, weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators and trends.
Report on Performance versus goals.

Safe Quality Food (SQF):

Work closely with the Mobile Maintenance Planning Department to ensure all major and minor components are being documented and stagged for core credit returns.
Direct the coordination of workplace inspections to identify conditions or practices that have safety concerns and the potential for equipment down time. Correct substandard conditions and practices to minimize employee accidents, property, and environmental damages.
Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while enforcing safety, environmental, and company procedures and guidelines.
Insure and maintain accurate internal document record keeping
Manage employee schedules, timecards, vacations, etc.
Devise daily work plans based on operational priorities, primary maintenance objectives, and current labor.
Track down equipment and high priority parts and report the status to operations staff and daily meetings.
Continuous improvement focus to optimize work efficiency and quality of work performed with a customer focus and steward of the mobile equipment fleet.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Responsibilities:
· Supervise, coach and lead fixed maintenance teams to ensure the production and development targets and schedules are met to ensure profitability and business development in accordance with the annual budget and strategic business plan
· Perform other duties as assigned
· Direct supervision and support of a crew consisting of shaft and surface maintenance technicians.
· Ensure shaft documentation is completed accurately
· Plan and lead all shaft maintenance work, in consultation with the production teams.
· Experience working in a mine shaft maintenance function preferred.
Qualifications:
· Minimum ten (10) years of experience in maintenance of stationary equipment and/or dewatering equipment with emphasis on vertical shafts in a planned work environment required
· Five (5) to seven (7) years of supervisory experience in a mining environment preferred
