Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Electrical Engineering degree (preferred), or a related field with proven experience in electrical machines.
2- 4 years of experience in quality or electrical testing.
Practical and theoretical knowledge of key electrical tests (vibration, surge, hipot, IR/PI, winding resistance, etc.).
Familiarity with IEEE/NEMA/IEC standards and ISO 9001.
Ability to lead and coordinate technical teams.
Knowledge in planning (plan daily activities with the team and inspection and testing activities) and quality tools.
Knowledge of electrical safety requirements and instrument calibration.
Be proactive to keep the Quality programs (5S, Visual Management, Routine Management, etc.).
Strong commitment to ethical, safety, and quality standards consistent with the WEG Code of Ethics.
Physical Requirements
Several tasks require to work in leaning over, extended back position repeatedly, occasionally tight spaces, squatting, and kneeling.
Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities. This requires climbing stairs and moving around, and about shop machinery.
Have the physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted.

Primary Objective of Position:
This position ensures the excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement of electrical testing processes within the laboratory. Oversees the execution of tests, ensuring full compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and internal methodologies. Represents the laboratory; customer discussions, audits, and regulatory or technical forums. Ensures that testing criteria, methodologies, and results meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Responsible for leading, planning, coordination, and validation of trials, ensuring accurate documentation, proper calibration routines, and adherence to 5S practices.
Responsible for organizing and maintaining 5S activities on the shop floor, conducting audits, and engaging employees in workplace organization and cleanliness.
Guides and trains; technical team, and promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and lead-time optimization.
