What You'll Bring * Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience in building automation, electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS), and integrated controls within mission-critical environments-especially data centers-including significant leadership and client-facing responsibilities. * Deep expertise in BAS and EPMS platforms, such as Rockwell Studio 5000, Inductive Automation Ignition, Tridium Niagara, Schneider EcoStruxure, and industry standards like BACnet and Modbus. * Extensive experience with field instrumentation, industrial networking, PLC/DDC system integration, Panel Design and SCADA architectures used for environmental and electrical system monitoring. * Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in the successful design, implementation, and commissioning of complex BAS and EPMS solutions across multiple projects. * Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interface effectively with both technical teams and executive-level clients, translating technical requirements into strategic solutions. * Strong background in proposal development, cost estimation, and scope definition for automation and monitoring system projects, with an emphasis on scalability, resilience, and lifecycle performance. * Analytical mindset with advanced troubleshooting abilities, capable of resolving complex operational challenges and delivering innovative, reliable, and secure solutions. * Recognized thought leader or subject matter expert in the BAS/EPMS space, with contributions to industry groups, standards bodies, or technical conferences considered a plus. * Flexibility and willingness to travel for project execution, client engagements, commissioning activities, and industry events. * Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (Master's degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred). * Knowledge of datacenter/mission critical commissioning requirements L1-L5. * Experience with datacenter and mission critical greenfield construction. We are a leading manufacturer of precision measurement and testing equipment, and we are looking for a Controls Hardware Engineer to join our growing team. Who We're Looking For: 2+ years of experience designing industrial control systems, preferably for custom machinery or automation systems Proficient in EPLAN (preferred) and/or AutoCAD Electrical for control panel and schematic design Experience designing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other power delivery systems Familiar with UL, NFPA79, or IEC standards for industrial control panels Comfortable collaborating with mechanical and software teams during the machine design lifecycle Experience with machine wiring, hardware selection, and bills of material is a plus Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and VFDs is helpful but not required Preferred (but not required): Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar Experience supporting machine builds or troubleshooting wiring in the field Exposure to machine safety design, lockout/tagout systems, or risk assessments Job Duties: Design control panels, schematics, and system layouts using EPLAN (preferred) and/or AutoCAD Electrical Create electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams to support custom machine builds Select components including fuses, breakers, relays, valves, and sensors based on application and standards Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers to ensure seamless system integration Provide support during machine builds, wiring checks, and commissioning Maintain up-to-date documentation and BOMs throughout the project lifecycle What We Value: Precision and clarity in your design work Practical understanding of how systems are built and wired on the shop floor Proactive problem-solving and attention to detail Clear communication with team members and vendors Pride in delivering reliable, build-ready documentation Why You'll Like Working Here: Small, skilled team where your contributions matter Interesting, custom machine projects-not the same thing every day Opportunity to grow into system-level design or multi-disciplinary engineering Apply Today!
