Role Summary
As a Director, Client Development - Life Science, you will have the opportunity and responsibility for relationship development, project development, sales campaigns, and business planning for clients within the Life Science Markets. By applying sound judgment and facilitating robust cross-functional solutions you will lead clients through business case development, front end planning, and project development for manufacturing and distribution focused capital investments.
In this role, you will be supported by a team of industry and project delivery experts who have experience converting our clients' capital spending initiatives into commercialized solutions. You will join our AEC team and partner with leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to develop design-build and EPC projects.
Success in this role is measured by your ability to win new business, expand existing relationships, deliver rewarding client experiences, and contribute to scaling our AEC business through market development, business development planning, client acquisition, and continually expanding our service and solution offerings.
Responsibilities
Provide client, technical, and project delivery leadership in the development of capital projects for the Life Science markets.
Lead and collaborate on the development of front-end programming, planning, schematic design, and preconstruction of projects to be delivered as design-build or EPC solutions.
Develop and execute client development and design-build solutions to achieve business goals, focusing on both sourcing and building new client relationships as well as maintaining and expanding existing relationships.
Develop long-standing client relationships that are based on trust, technical and project delivery excellence, and a concierge level of client service and experience.
Expertise in client development, project development, and project delivery including client development, proposals, contracts, planning and zoning, real estate acquisition, manufacturing & distribution operations, development of project plans and strategies, and overall project budgets that can be executed to achieve the client's investment objectives.
Focus on overall project success and accomplishment of client objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and operational performance.
Analyze and develop specialized technical solutions to meet the client's objectives for new and existing cGMP facilities.
Maintain a knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and provide guidance to other AEC professionals within the firm.
Client leadership includes assessing market, prospect, and client business trends, plans, and priorities; defining client goals and objectives; conditions of success; client communication; technical analysis; project development; presentation of project delivery approach to the client; and ongoing relationship development.
Lead and coordinate market and trend analysis; client and business development planning; account planning; pipeline analysis; forecasts; and account performance evaluation.
Communicate relevant information on targeted clients, contacts, and opportunities.
Lead and/or assist on client requests for proposals, targeted client pursuits, marketing campaigns, customer presentations, trade and industry networking events, interface with client representatives, and perform other duties as needed.
Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, while strengthening relationships with our clients and the Design Group team.
Requirements
15+ years of experience leading the development, design and construction of facilities, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, permit acquisition, preconstruction, construction, and operations turn-over.
Leadership skills and experience with a drive to grow and expand local, regional clients and national clients.
The ability to structure and lead development of design, design-build, and EPC projects for cGMP manufacturing and distribution facilities.
An understanding of facility operational requirements, people and material flows, adjacency schemes, automation, environmental classifications, and an understanding of various industry regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated ability to anticipate future market trends, adapt to changing circumstances, and continuously seek ways to improve project outcomes and client experience.
Entrepreneurial drive with a passion for client relationship development, paired with a keen understanding of the client decision-making process.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver impactful presentations and build consensus across internal and external teams.
Ability to break down complex problems into manageable components, identify core issues, and develop innovative solutions. Skilled in prioritizing critical details and managing multiple relationships, opportunities, and projects concurrently.
A working knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and requirements.
Experience in the development, design, and delivery of greenfield, brownfield, renovations & expansion type projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and client interaction abilities.
Our clients and projects are nationwide, travel is required to attend client meetings and presentations, site walk-throughs, facility assessments, operational reviews, construction reviews, client and company sponsored meetings.
BS or MS degree in a related Engineering discipline, Architecture, Construction Management, or related technical degree.
The approximate pay range for this position is $150,000-$190,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. POSITION SUMMARY:
With direct guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of product support duties following well defined procedures and processes in one or more of the following functions: raw stock, parts identification, shipping, receiving, stockroom, stock handling, clean operations, parts handling, etc.

RAW STOCK
Receive incoming raw stock and verify material against documentation for identification and accuracy of quantity. Load and unload trucks and move raw material to the proper location. Identify and code raw material and operate saw to cut stock to dimensional specifications. Issue jobs per schedule and update shop floor, MRP and other systems.
PARTS IDENTIFICATION
Identify parts using simple and proper identification methods and equipment indicated by the traveller and/or blueprint. Lay out exact dimensions and locations on the parts for identification markings.
SHIPPING
Prepare parts and/or materials to assure safe handling for shipment including the completion of the necessary paperwork and shipping records and maintenance of a shipping log. Prepare packaging per specifications for shipment including computer input for necessary labels, forms and shipping records.
RECEIVING
Receive shipments at receiving dock and forward materials to the appropriate team. Weigh or count incoming/outbound parts or materials.
STOCKROOM
Receive material, check and identify parts by type or part number. Prepare parts for storage and place stock in proper location as directed. Select parts from stock to fill orders according to parts lists. Perform cycle inventory count. Maintain and access necessary records utilizing a computer.
CLEAN OPERATIONS:

PARTS HANDLING
Following traveller/route sheet instructions, move parts between functions or teams using a forklift or other moving devices. Package or repackage parts to prevent damage during movement or handling. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sets up and runs multiple production machines. Performs machine operations (including reworking parts) such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming parts. Performs machine operations where the materials, tooling, and sequence of operations have been pre-planned and established. Makes necessary machine adjustments and reports improper machine functioning or cutting action for correction.
2. Aligns and fastens work using standard fixtures and established methods.
3. Installs and adjusts cutting tools consistent with type and size of material being machined.
4. Follows established manufacturing methods using standard production machines, materials, and tooling.
5. Adjusts feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts, per documentation.
6. Operates hand and power tools to deburr precision and complex machine parts in accordance with semi-complicated engineering blueprints and route sheets to close tolerances.
7. Inspects parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as gages, calipers, micrometers and comparators. Uses various types of magnification equipment (including a microscope) to detect and avoid damage to surfaces and critical areas. Visually inspects parts for burrs or damaged machined surfaces.
8. Routinely maintains equipment to ensure cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability specific to division requirements.
9. Accurately and regularly performs statistical process control (SPC) specific to division requirements.
10. Actively implements lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. Effectively applies lean concepts and tools in work area.
11. Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
12. Performs other related responsibilities, as requested.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. JOB SUMMARY

* Supports the test, qualification, and production handoff of mechanical and electromechanical subsystems and assemblies.
* Supports all phases of engineering projects, from concept through full-rate production. Helps in the design and/or selection of manufacturing and test equipment needed to scale production quantities.
* Assists in resolution of issues affecting legacy products and processes.
* Under general supervision and with some latitude for unreviewed action, performs engineering assignments which involve responsibility for technical documentation, engineering change orders, design packages, test plans, reports, procedures, part and assembly drawings, and vendor specifications.
* Assists in the preparation and presentation of design reviews, works with vendors to conduct DFM studies, build prototypes, analyze failures, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
* May give directions to junior level engineers, designers and draftspersons.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree (B.S.M.E) from four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering and 2 to 5 years of experience with design, analysis, and fabrication of mechanical components/systems.
* Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 required.

Strong computer and writing skills required. Prefer experience with SolidWorks CAD and knowledge of manufacturing. "Hands on" skills encouraged. Assist Engineering department with on-going programs by completing engineering related tasks. Tasks may include CAD work, design and analysis, as well as hardware integration and testing. Assist in revising and creating process plans, standard work and other process documentation items. Experience with test equipment is preferred, but not a requirement. Looking for a hands-on team player.
Qualifications:
* Education: Current student in a local college or university (must be enrolled) toward BS degree in mechanical, electrical or ceramic engineering or material science. Must have completed two years of courses; three years preferred. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better is preferred.
