Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Teaches subjects to pupils, utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Trustees and other appropriate learning activities.

3. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Under the supervision of the Manager of Senate Reprographics and the Production Supervisor, the Graphic Designer is responsible for working with the clients to create their design within set deadlines.
DUTIES:
The candidate is required to create, design, update, and edit graphics for jobs submitted by Senate staff which includes, but is not limited to, brochures, mailings, tables, charts, covers, graphics, letterhead, business cards, business forms, displays, reports, and flyers.

The Clinical and Translational Research Unit (CTRU) is the leading academic center for Stanford Medicine and provides state of the art ambulatory and laboratory research services for overclinical trials and research projects. The center is a multidisciplinary organizational unit, whose mission is to streamline, accelerate, and promote the translation of basic discoveries into practical solutions that improve human health.
The CTRU is seeking two Research Phlebotomists to perform phlebotomy and duties related to the collection of clinical samples and assisting with the operational and administrative requirements to support the clinical trial operations for several research studies. This position will be involved in a range of duties including but not limited to phlebotomy, EKGs, scheduling and organizing participant appointments, reception duties, registering participants, reviewing participant medical orders, taking vital signs and weight and height measurements, assisting with logistics, and serving as liaison with internal and external colleagues.
The Research Phlebotomists report to the CTRU Nurse Manager. This position places a heavy emphasis on attention to detail, effective communication and the ability to multitask efficiently and accurately is required.
Duties include:
Perform basic measurements and tests on patients according to protocol, such as obtaining vital signs and performing phlebotomy and EKG, after appropriate training/certification. Collect study specimens according to protocol.
Schedule and/or call subjects for appointments; contact participants with reminders or other requirements.
Prepare, distribute, and process questionnaires.

All substitutes are expected to be prompt and reliable, appropriately dressed and groomed and follow all Barstow Unifed School District policies and guidelines. Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students. Ability to maintain effective classroom mangement strategies. The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks: Maintains and respects confidentiality of student and school personnel information; Maintains a discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive enviornment for all students and staff inaccordance with school and county policies; Ensures the adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students; Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities; Reports to office upon arrival at school; checks mailbox of absent teacher for materials requiring immediated attention, requests clarification of school rules and procedures, if necessary; Reports all student inuuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible; Implements lesson plans; Dismisses all students from the classroom before leaving the building; Returns instructional materials, equipment, and keys to proper place; Determines if his/her services will be required for the next school day by contacting the Substitute Caller/Receptionist and/or the Automated Substitute Calling System; Complies with and supports school and division regulations and policies; Models non-discriminatory practices in all activities; Performs other related duties as assigned by the site administrator(s) in accordance with school distirict policies and practies.
A Bachelor's Degree is required. Valid 30-Day Substitute Permit Certificate of Clearance (COC) 2 Letters of Recommendation dated within the last 2 years 3 Professional References Valid CPR Certification

Comments and Other Information
You will be required to complete a fingerprint background check, TB clearance and physical examination, at your expense. You must be available to accept substitute assignments at least three (3) days per week. You must be available to accept substitute assignments district-wide, at all of our schools, 4K and TK-12.
