PURPOSE

Bartender job in Denver, CO
The assignment: mix amazing craft cocktails and serve up premium beer and wine that live up to our legendary pizzas. That alone would be a pretty sweet job, but there's more.
Provide outstanding recommendations to guests based on their drink preferences and your knowledge of libations. Most importantly, serve as a living, breathing, hard-working example of the Mellow Mushroom vibe; be the coolest of the cool, a master of all things Mellow.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guide guests and fellow Mellow team members to new and favorite libations; act as match maker between beverages and the legendary Mellow menu
Craft delicious cocktails and serve drinks while engaging with guests to provide memorable experiences
Continually seek out ways to exceed our guests' needs and expectations; keep a positive attitude while dealing with customer feedback
Help plan and serve bar menu; take food orders and serve guests at the bar
Monitor, restock, and replenish bar inventory; keep the bar area sparkling clean
Check IDs to confirm legal drinking age for all guests
Handle bills and payments; keep the cash drawer balanced
Comply with food and beverage regulations; maintain current knowledge of all laws affecting alcohol purchase and patron safety

What you'll do:
Create and deliver unforgettable guest experiences with your energy and top-tier service mindset
Prepare and serve beverages to Funlab standards with speed, accuracy, and flair
Serve food and drinks throughout the venue, including bars and event spaces
Drive sales on every shift - smash targets through upselling, product knowledge and proactive guest engagement
Understand daily goals and challenges, working with your team to succeed
Take pride in your venue, making sure it's well-stocked and ready to impress at all times
Follow all safety and compliance procedures to keep guests and your teammates safe
Take the opportunities to go above and beyond and anticipate our guests' needs
What you've got:
Uniqueness and a passion for fun
Energy, enthusiasm, positivity - and bucketloads of it!
Customer service, hospitality or retail experience and a love for building customer rapport
A love of interacting with a diverse range of guests - teens, kids and adults
Team-driven focus with the natural ability to motivate yourself and those around you
Proven ability to communicate effectively
Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for long periods
Flexibility in your schedule, must be available on weekends and nights - that's where the action is!
