As a banquet server at Portage Country Club, you will: Focus on details to provide the highest quality of service to all members and guests of members. Strive for continuous improvement in knowledge, quality, consistency, service, products, work environment, safety, wellness, and member satisfaction. Maintain company culture by interacting with team members and senior staff with respect. Accommodate any special requests that the kitchen can deliver to the guest. Serve menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner according to established service standards. Note the timing of meal progression and notify kitchen staff. Perform pre- and post-shift side work, stock service station, etc. Knowledge of menu items, accompaniments for them, and daily specials. Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services. Monitor and observe guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course. Assist runners as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods. Maintain the tidiness of the table throughout the meal and be ready and willing to assist the bus person with clearing and resetting tables. If you see something, say something! Report all problems and maintenance issues to your supervisor. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and continuously move for the duration of a regular shift.
