The Foundry Bartender Position is responsible for working special events scheduled at the Foundry Art Centre. Tasks include, but are not limited to, serving drinks to guests, stocking product, general cleanup, and facility upkeep as needed. Responsible for following the guidelines of the Foundry Art Centre by providing excellent customer service, empowering other team members, creating experiences worth repeating, and constantly improving our services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Handles people oriented situations with public in a tactful, professional, and friendly manner. Pour drinks quickly to customer's specification and have a working knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. Demonstrate a commitment to cleanliness and guest and alcohol safety. Have accurate cash handling skills; have the ability to multitask. Master the tricks of the trade: cocktail recipes; free pouring, flair, responsible alcohol service. Protect guests by accurately ringing (when needed), preparing, and then serving items as requested. Assist with inventory management, carefully accounting product used. Actively complete side work - bussing, sanitizing, and stocking. Provide accurate availability: check schedule regularly and have consistent attendance. Help maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas, restrooms, auditorium, and any other areas of building. Exercises good interpersonal skills by gladly assisting others to accomplish the work of the organization, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties. As a Bartender - you have the "hospitality gene" and are committed to guests and team members. Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions Applicant must be at least 21 years of age or older. Must have open availability nights and weekends. Knowledgeable in food and alcohol safety, quality and portion control, and cash handling. The ability to lift 25 pounds. One year or more experience bartending or bartending school preferred. Position Summary: Puttshack is looking to attract a diverse team of fun hospitality associates who care deeply about creating an elevated, one-of-a-kind guest experience. The Barback position is crucial to our bartenders as they ensure everything is present to serve our guests efficiently. Additionally, they ensure our dining room, bar, and service areas are clean, sanitized, stocked, and visually appealing. They assist the bartenders in clearing the bar top, cleaning the glassware, and restocking everything needed to deliver a world class experience. Schedule/Hours: Our venues are open 7 days/week, typically from 11am-1am with some variations. While we will do our best to accommodate scheduling preferences, they may not always be guaranteed, and we value flexibility. All positions within our venue are variable schedules, meaning a typical schedule may be anywhere between 15 and 30 hours on a weekly basis depending on business needs and individual availability. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Bring your 'A' Game each and every day Maintain a pace sufficient to keep up with different levels of guest visits Clean and stock glassware and other items such as napkins, straws, etc. around the bar area Assist Bartenders with refilling bottles, prepping garnishes, etc. Clean spills and/or broken glasses and keep areas tidy, complying with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures Take direction and be a team player Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook Other projects or duties as assigned, including but not limited to side work, opening, and closing duties Required Skills and Experience: Must be 18+ years of age to apply. Prior experience in hospitality or related field General knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and various spirits Excellent time management and organizational skills Must obtain any certifications required per local or state guidelines Safely and effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the venue, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces Ability to move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, and occasionally move and lift up to 30 pounds.
