ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists Bartenders with keeping the Bar clean and well stocked. Stocks Bars with glassware, napkins, straws, garnishes, and beverages. Interact with guests in a positive and friendly manner. Assists guests with any questions they have regarding Bar operations or general resort information. Removes trash when necessary. Keeps all bars and storage areas well stocked at all times to maximize efficiency. Acts to consistently maintain pristine and well organized bar and storage areas. Essential duties require working in a small, confined area used to obtain beverages, with floors which may become slippery in the process of preparing beverages. Essential duties require lifting boxes containing product and lifting up to 50 pounds to stack, store, or move bar supplies and equipment. Barback Duties and Responsibilities Providing support to bartenders involves a number of different duties. We analyzed many barback job descriptions to compile the fallowing list of barback duties and responsibilities: Change Kegs as Needed Barbacks need to have a certain amount of physical strength to lift full kegs and carry them from storage. They also have to know how to proper 1y tap keg. Clean and Restock Glassware While most places have a dishwasher far kitchenware, glassware from the bar is washed and restocked by the Barback. Open and Close Tabs Barbacks open and close tabs for customers so bartenders can focus on the customers who are still ordering drinks.
