Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of the bar and dining room following standard recipes. Input orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests, make correct change and provide receipts. Clean and arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display. Wash and sterilize stemware. Anticipate guests' needs and follow the half-full rule when offering another drink; remain alert of guests' signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledge signals. Check identification of guests who are consuming alcoholic beverages; refuse alcohol service to guests who are not of legal age. Responsibly serve alcohol and remain aware of guests' state of intoxication. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Be of legal age to serve alcohol. Possess state applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card. Basic mathematical skills and an ability to handle money and give correct change is required. Possess basic reading and computer skills. Possess basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and familiarity with standard drink recipes. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be multi-task oriented. Possess knowledge of company's food and beverage specifications and workplace safety procedures. Must have reasonable availability keeping in mind that most of the restaurant business is on nights and weekends.
