Duties & Responsibilities:
* Exceptional knowledge of Oak Hill's food and beverage standards and host operating procedures.

* Prepares and prints a floor plan with the direction of Donald Ross Pub management. Ensures tables are assigned according to the floorplan and match up with the reservation sheet.
* Reviews all reservations in the point of sales system (Jonas) prior to each meal period. Makes note of special occasions and/or dietary requirements of members and guests dining at the Club. Relays information to servers accordingly.
* Ensures all menus are accurate and clean prior to service.
* Greets each member and guest during service and ascertains the name, party size and any special requirements.
* Controls the flow of seating to ensure top level service and the success of the service team.
* Maintains a neat and orderly work environment.
* Assists servers, server assistants, food runners and bar staff as needed throughout service.
* Assists members and guests with questions and directions.
* Accepts reservation requests in accordance with Oak Hill policies.
* Carries out bylaws and policies set by the Board of Directors.
* Any, and all other duties, as assigned by the DRP Restaurant Manager, DRP Assistant Restaurant Manager, and/or DRP Restaurant Supervisor.
Experience
* Previous food & beverage experience preferred.
Education
* High school or equivalent education required.
Licenses and Special Requirements

To polish all silverware, chafing dishes, and glassware prior to set up.
To obtain instructions for set up from Banquet Captain/Manager and execute these instructions immediately.
Individual must ask questions regarding set up, items to be served, pick up areas, pick up times, breakdown and coffee station locations; as well as communicate instructions to and from supervisor and other servers.
Responsible for the proper set up and service of all food functions assigned as stated in the waitstaff service manual.
Be aware of or obtain knowledge of guest comfort locations such as restrooms and pay phones.
Serve ladies first. Serve all food items from the left and clear such items from the right. Serve all beverages from the right.
Individual's stations must be completely set and rechecked before the event begins to ensure all items are correctly placed.
Once the station is set up the individual must stand by station and be ready to greet the guests and begin service. Standing at parade rest with hands behind their back.
Respond to all guest requests with an expedient, cheerful and helpful manner.

a) Never allowing a water goblet to become less than ½ full.
