Job Description
The Bartender position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The position is also responsible for providing beverage service to Belterra Casino Resort guests and cocktail servers while providing excellent customer relations.
The Bartender
Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers and coworkers.
Maintains company funds and equipment in an orderly manner.
Pours drinks according to established recipes; maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Ensures compliance with “Project 21 - Minors in Casino.”
Demonstrates specific product offerings and ordering procedures.
Monitors proper par levels of all supplies at assigned bars.
Communicates any problems or situations detrimental to Belterra Casino Resort & Spa to immediate supervisor.
Is responsible for the security and accuracy of assigned bank and is accountable for any and all overages and shortages.
Opens/closes bar according to established procedures.
Provides work direction for bar attendants assigned to bar.
Qualifications
Knowledge and ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of the operation of all bar equipment.
Ability to direct cocktail servers.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
Bartender experience required.
MUST be at least 21 years of age.
The skills and abilities required of this position are typically acquired through the completion of an accredited bartending course, or two (2) years' outside experience in high volume cocktail service preferably in a Hotel/Casino environment.

Overview
The Hockey Event Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Responsibilities
Must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards.
Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol.
Responsible to learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits available, and be able to learn to suggestively upsell products to guests.
Must pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
Must check guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
Must communicate a cut-off to a guest as required.
Listening and responding to any customer requests or concerns.
Bartenders are expected to de-escalate intoxicated guest situations. If a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity, the bartender may contact management or security as required.
Contact a management member if he/she is unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision-making.
Request additional product or restock product as required
Ability to handle cash accurately is required. Employee is responsible for issued bank at his/her bar.
Maintains clean and sanitary work station at all times. Ensures bar equipment is clean & well maintained.
Other duties as assigned such as set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required and assisting with organization of the cooler
Qualifications
Six months or more experience bartending (Pour Bartender).
Beertenders require no experience in mixology.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours.
Bartending school preferred for Pour Bartenders.

Schedule/Hours:
Our venues are open 7 days/week, typically from 11am-1am with some variations. While we will do our best to accommodate scheduling preferences, they may not always be guaranteed, and we value flexibility. All positions within our venue are variable schedules, meaning a typical schedule may be anywhere between 15 and 30 hours on a weekly basis depending on business needs and individual availability.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Bring your 'A' Game each and every day
Maintain a pace sufficient to keep up with different levels of guest visits
Clean and stock glassware and other items such as napkins, straws, etc. around the bar area
Assist Bartenders with refilling bottles, prepping garnishes, etc.
Clean spills and/or broken glasses and keep areas tidy, complying with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
Take direction and be a team player
Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook
Other projects or duties as assigned, including but not limited to side work, opening, and closing duties
Required Skills and Experience:
