What you'll be doing:
Supporting your co-workers and our patrons to provide and maintain the taproom atmosphere - clean, friendly, and fun. Ideal candidates will support our company culture and vision, possess a "can-do" personality, be self-motivated with a customer-focused attitude, flexible, and willing to learn.
Basics: taking orders, pouring beer, mixing cocktails and serving guests, maintaining a clean and welcoming bar space, replenishing supplies, etc. We want someone with the strong desire to promote our brands and provide unparalleled service - the ultimate guest experience!
We're looking for an experienced Bartender that can take on occasional shift supervisor duties. This individual will be tip eligible for all shifts, however, will take on additional responsibility to be the supervisor on duty at times (with increased hourly compensation.) An idea candidate will have previous supervisory experience, able to direct staff and ensure all tasks are complete to RBC standards.
Supporting established protocols, safety measures, fairness, and providing superior customer service is imperative.
This is a part-time position requiring evening and weekend availability.
Bartending shifts: $10.35/hr plus tips
Bar Supervisor shifts: $1550/hr plus tips
What you'll need:

Beverage Cocktail Server

The Beverage Cocktail Server is responsible for providing fast, friendly and courteous service to every customer while taking and serving beverage orders. Responsible for taking beverage orders and serving complimentary beverages to guests, slot and pit areas. Position requires ability to interact with the public, speak English clearly and remember details. Physical exertion in the way of walking, standing, turning, bending, lifting and carrying is also required. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work in assigned area, such as a dining room, lounge or casino floor and pleasantly take beverage order from guests.
2. Present the beverage order to the bartender and write checks properly while waiting for the beverage to be prepared.
3. Present check to the guest, accept payment and give change when necessary.
4. Maintain the server's station in a neat, clean and sanitary condition at all times.
5. Be knowledgeable of casino promotions and events in order to provide answers to customer questions. Inform customers of forthcoming special events and other facilities, such as food service, etc.
6. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
7. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
8. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
9. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
10. Attend all necessary meetings.
11. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Garnish drink orders at service area and deliver drinks to players. Balance trays with drinks weighing up to ten (10) pounds when full, on one hand, while serving with the other hand.
2. Circulate throughout designated station, taking drink orders from customers. Requires ability to remember customers and their drinks.
3. Place drink orders at the service bar. Requires effective communication skills.
4. Reaching/bending between players to serve drinks, collecting empty glasses, and cleaning ashtrays.
5. Keeping service station clean and fully stocked.
6. Walk continuously up and down short stairs or ramps.
7. Must be able to observe when a customer is too intoxicated.
8. Clean up glasses in surrounding area at the end of shift.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must have outgoing, friendly personality and a cheerful accommodating disposition.
2. Must adhere to the SGC Shoe policy for all Beverage Cocktail Servers.
Education/Experience:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2. High school diploma or its equivalency preferred.
3. Two (2) years previous customer service experience required.
4. Two (2) years of serving in a bar or restaurant setting required.
5. Bartending experience preferred.
Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
1. Must possess excellent communication skills.
2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
3. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
4. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
