The Bartender is primarily responsible for delivering hospitality and extraordinary service to bar guests and for mixing, garnishing, and serving beverages according to Company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant. This position is also responsible for cleanliness and safety of the bar area. Requirements Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum 1+ years' bartending experience in a full-service restaurant (liquor, beer, & wine). Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer. The Barback is responsible for the designated service area and to assist bar/service staff with set-up and clean up of all areas. Must be able to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures. Responsible for assisting the bartenders in mixing drink orders for patrons. Responsible for cleaning designated areas, in accordance with policies and procedures, morning/evening routines and hygiene requirements. Responsible for stocking private bar carts, clipboard and uniform. Must be able to clean all private bars, private bar carts, and storerooms. Must possess the ability to stock all necessary items for the bar (i.e. glasses, mixing equipment, etc.) Must have the ability to slice and prepare all fruit garnishes. OTHER: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organization. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION: Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by facility environmental systems. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the restaurant on a timely basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with customers, supervisors and other employees. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
