Job Description
Providing Inspired Food & Beverage to highlight the destination we represent is one of our passions. As an In Suite Dining Server, you will be a hospitality ambassador that will connect our guests to the delectable cuisine inspired by our diverse culture and island home. Your impeccable service will help us showcase our passion and accomplish our mission of turning moments into memories.
Hourly Rate: $15.17
What you will be doing:
Before starting, check with cashier regarding specific duties for the shift
Check service stations for necessary equipment and set up: ice, dishes, utensils, cleaning/sanitation equipment; replenish as needed
Deliver In Suite Dining orders to guests in a timely manner, according to company standards and guest's delivery preference selection
Perform floor sweeps as needed, picking up used In Suite Dining equipment, tableware and table linens
Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
Actively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions
Adhere to the State of Hawaii & EHC (Environmental Health Consultancy) food handling safety standards
Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand
Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including overnight, weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
Qualifications

Experience
1 year work experience in Food & Beverage
Previous experience in luxury hotel environment desirable
Licenses or Certificates
Valid Driver's License required
TB Clearance required
Maui County Liquor Card required
Food Safety Certification required

About the role

Customer Service:
Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Assist customers in selecting ice cream flavors, toppings, and other menu items.
Offer recommendations and answer any questions about menu options.
Ensure prompt and efficient service while maintaining a positive attitude.
Food Preparation and Serving:
Prepare ice cream cones, cups, sundaes, milkshakes, and other menu items according to customer preferences.
Handle and serve food items with care, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
Maintain proper portion control and adhere to food safety guidelines at all times.
Keep serving areas clean and organized, including topping stations and condiment areas.
Cash Handling and Transactions:
Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
Process payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
Provide customers with receipts and process refunds or exchanges when necessary.
Balance cash register at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to management.
Store Maintenance:

Monitor inventory levels of ice cream, toppings, and supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked.
Assist with restocking inventory and maintaining organization in storage areas.
Follow proper cleaning procedures for closing duties, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and tables.

Manual dexterity to handle serving utensils and operate a cash register.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications
