· Prepare and open the bar on time (candles lit, music on, etc.). Tables, stools and cushions should be neatly arranged per the bar standard. Right angles / parallel and equal placement of tables. Clean table tops and bases before each shift starts. Lighting to be set to the standard brightness and be equal in all four sections. Dim lights slightly at sundown.
· Cheerfully greet and acknowledge clients promptly.
· Be a Team Player.
· Know the wine list and perform proper wine service.
· Assist with crowd control.
· Notify Team Leader to add infrequent selling wines to the “pull” list as sold.
· Be Ambassadors for the hotel and the city. Promote room sales.

Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs with restaurant, banquet, and specialty dessert menu preparation.
Greet all guests promptly, courteously, and professionally.
Practice upselling and suggestive selling when taking orders.
Pick up and deliver orders efficiently.
Deliver beverages to guests as needed.
Maintain clean and organized lounge and service areas; monitor guest tables.
Ensure service areas are cleaned and cleared regularly.
Process guest payments accurately and courteously upon departure.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
Pastry baking experience preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must hold a valid Food Handler Certification and Louisiana Responsible Vendor Card.
Must be available to work Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Working Environment
Work performed inside the hotel in restaurant and kitchen areas, with exposure to humidity, steam, and high temperatures.
Exposure to food and beverage preparation areas and hazardous cleaning chemicals.

SUMMARY

CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare cocktails and other drink orders to guests' specifications while maintaining Ace Hotel quality standards.
2. Handle payment for beverage purchases in compliance with HRI and cash handling procedures.

4. Properly input guest orders through the POS system.
5. Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
