DELIVERING CONSISTENT EXCEPTIONAL GUEST SERVICE THROUGH: Bars stocked and maintained with all supplies, par levels kept. All glassware, including in glass racks kept perfectly clean with no water, spots, lipstick or other dirt. Replenish items as appropriate. Follow daily checklists. Bar tops kept dry and clean. Retrieve bus pans from behind bars - return clean. Respond appropriately to guests' requests; inform the correct bartender to help. Anticipate bartenders' needs. Assist sweepers and waitresses when needed. Walk-in coolers neat and organized. Thank guests as they are leaving. Bar mats hosed down, clean, and dried nightly. Remove trash from behind bars and waitress stations - replace with new liners. Clean and break down station completely at end of night. Will spend at least 2 hours a week doing outside promotions and assisting sales staff when needed. Qualifications Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests. Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 60 pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

The barback is responsible for an in depth knowledge of all food, beverage and bar recipes offered by the Hotel and adherence to the service, sequence and standards as outlined by Management. The barback must be enthusiastic about the position and maintain a positive attitude towards both the guest and other staff members of the Hotel. This position is responsible for beverage and food services in the Biltmore Bar and any additional assigned areas. Keeping work station clean, orderly and properly set is also an important requirement of the position. This position requires consistent adherence to policies and procedures of the department as outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP'S). Responsibilities Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. As a Barback, you will support the bar team in creating a seamless, elevated service experience for guests from around the world.
