RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position is responsible for many duties such as cleaning and stocking the bars as well as bartending. When behind the bar, the barback must have a professional, positive attitude and greet every guest in a courteous and friendly manner. Barbacks will have to learn how to make cocktails and be knowledgeable of the POS system. While breaking bartenders they will receive beverage orders from guests and cocktail servers, prepare the drinks in a proper and timely fashion and ring all beverages into the POS system. Barbacks will be trained in alcohol awareness and must maintain the highest standards of sanitation, professional grooming and conduct at all times. Barbacks are the “backbone” of the beverage department hence the name barback.
